Walt ≠ Smoke Monster

When Michael is captured by the others the one lady asks Michael "has Walt ever appeared in different places at once" (something like that). So this would explain how he (Walt) appeared to Shannon and Sayid when he wasn't dead. Meaning, it wasn't the smoke monster taking the form of him. Walt has some special gift?

Not sure. I do recall, when Walt was back at home at his mothers, didn't someone say he was "special". I also remember when he was in the apartment/ house in Austraila a bird crashed into the window. ( very foggy memory it has been long time since seeing that )
