Everyone is tossing all these names out there but everyone is forgetting that the ONE thing this episode revealed in terms of the identity of Ben's spy is that whoever it is Locke knows them and their identity would surprise him. Why would he be surprised if it was Mikhail or Mr. Sheppard? The production team has used random prop managers and even the executive producer himself to play Jacob and do his voice in the past and they clearly have hundreds of other unrecognizable people who could do it again, so why would they get a former cast member to do it now knowing FULL well that his image would be clearly visible? Furthermore, if the actor who plays Christian Sheppard is indeed off the show, why would he just be sitting around the set available to fill in like this? He's an actor, and surely he would be doing other projects and would have no reason to fly out to wherever Lost films their staged stuff (not Hawaii I don't think) just to do an uncredited 1 second cameo (if you could even call it that). That definately was Christian Sheppard, and I'm sure I'm becoming notorious for saying this but I think the writers said so somewhere! lol

I had never actually seen that, so I can only guess.
That may have been a scrapped idea and that would explain why it wasn't included on television. It could have also have been an apparition like every other one except Walt. Ben's mom is VERY dead, but that didn't stop him from seeing her when he was a wee little boy.

Exactly! Why confuse the audience when there is enough going on to confuse us? Everything else is leading up to answers, that would just not make any sense to throw Sheppard in there as "Jacob" unless Sheppard is Jacob or something. He's not dead though!! And the mobisodes are there to explain more from my understanding....And why would Vincent have a vision? He's a DOG! I think the point was no human actually saw him alive but Vincent is the "greek chorus" of sorts and we hear more of the story thru him while it remains a mystery to the survivors.

I said several times on the old forum that I think Christian is alive and is part of the bigger picture here. When Jack went to see his dad in Australia, to claim the body, he never touched his dad. He saw him and that was it. And, when he went to the airport in Sydney trying to get the coffin on the plane without proper documentation, the airline employee just let him bring the coffin on. And then the coffin on the island was empty. Why was the coffin empty? B/c there was no body. That's why he was able to get the coffin on the plane. Why was there no body? B/c Christian was made to appear dead by the PARALYZING SPIDERS that got Paulo and Nikki burried alive (hence the entire purpose of their storyline).

But I don't think Christian has relevance in Locke's world UNLESS...gasp...this just came to me...maybe Christian consulted with Locke regarding his paralysis. After alll, he is a spinal surgeon. Maybe they do know each other after all....

Dr. Marvin Candle (Locke saw him on the videos)
Walt (Daniel did mention a time change beteween the island and actuality, he could be much older)
Eddie (Police officer who was undercover in Lock's drug community)

and the woman on the phone with locke that he invited to the walkabout (can't remember her name)

or Locke's old boss at the BOX company, i'd be pretty mad and want to sit down too.

Yeah we did just see him. I believe 100 percent they are talking about Michael, I just am anxious, as I've said before on here, to see how they bring Christian back into the script ya know? that's gotta be a shocker of it's own.

i think it's got to be michael because didn't they show sayid looking a bit shocked upon seeing said person? christian would not be shocking because sayid would have no idea who he is, and it wouldn't work for the ben/locke conversation either... i'll trust the producers/writers on the dead staying dead so it has to be michael and even though they say it's someone you wouldn't think you've seen again i think they are talking more about the random or simple-minded or casual viewer and not the people who are in love with the show that obsess over it and theorize about it like we all do... plus michael is the only one who has an advantage in getting people to listen to him (that is, Walt's special powers) and i don't see any way that anyone else could successfully act as a spy on the boat... and i think that this will eventually lead to a michael and walt episode in the second half of this season where even more craziness will ensue

Another great point my friend. People get carried away on her ewith the wishful thinking. They know deep down that it's Mikey. But they don't want it to be. I agree.....if Eko was back we'd be getting to the bottom of some issues here!! He got answers when he wanted and/or needed them....no screwing around with him!!! I miss him!:(

I know! His whole storyline, so much of his history and connection on the island to be killed....maybe when we find out what the smoke monster is it will all make sense and play into his significance (i hope!)

I would like to have Anna Lucia (Michelle) back on the show.. Of course, her death was way to clear shown, so she can't just grab herself out of her grave and say; "Hi, I´m back", but maybe she could appear in some flashbacks oder dreams.. ;)
