If Ben can jump time, he would need a constant so maybe that is why he told Juliett, "You are mine" and he won't let her go! A Ha!

but do you need a constant if you follow the correct coordinates? and i don't know why des didnt just use faraday as his constant.

I wondered that last week when we learned about this constant thing. I assumed that maybe 2 people couldn't be eachother's constant.....but who knows, never assume anything on this show, right!!!

It's cooridinates and being exposed to to much radiation or electromagnatizem.

No radiation, but he is living on a giant electromagnet.

Because Faraday told Desmond that his constant had to be something that was VERY important to him. This is why I've been trying to figure out how Desmond could possibly be Faraday's constant, since clearly he's not that important to him, at least not yet.

The importance of Desmond would be that he gave hime the secret of time travel through the mind. The 2.342 and 11hz would be very important to him.
