2 Random Questions From S04e01

Hey folks. I have two random questions regarding Episode 1 of Season 4.

1. When Jack attempts to shoot Locke we learn the gun is not loaded. Was it unloaded in the 1st place when Locke got it (from I don't know where) or did the island unload it so Locke would not be shot AGAIN and possibly die (as he is VERY SPECIAL)?

2. Who did the blood fake trail that Rosseau, Jack, and Ben followed?

I think Locke might have unloaded it himself.

I think the girl with the phone left her own fake trail. She thought the survivors were out to kill her, remember, after Locke hit her in the back with a knife? She probably wanted to stay safe until her buddies came for backup.

I Got A Question 4 The Writers How Was It In Season 1 When Charlie And Jack See The Lady Drwoning In The Ocean...when Jack Goes 2 Jump In 2 Save Her...charlie Clearly Says "im Glad U Went....i Cant Swim".....but In Season 3 Hes A Grand Champion Swimmer...ooooooops!!!!!!!!.......1 Mistake Outta All Those Episode.......like They Keep Tellin Jack...."ill Let U Off The Hook"..ahhahahahah Lmaoo0o0o0.............

Charlie said that so they would let him take on the mission to swin down to the facility. Otherwise someone else would have done it and he would not have fullfilled his destiny.
