I had forgotten that Ana went with Jack's dad to Australia to meet his "daughter". She also ran into Sawyer and Jack. Do you think Ana is still alive somewhere? I think something is up because her partner asked about her and Hurley lied.

yep,,,, you see, if Hugh told the cop that he know Ana Lucia, then the cop would have asked more questions.... and found on that she was killed on the island, ummm what island ?, and then possible that Michael is the last of the O6, and end up being on trail after Kate for murder.......

Also, in kate's court room scenes its said that when they crashed only 6 people survived. Obviously those 6 are the Oceanic 6. If Hugo was to say that he knew ana lucia, who is dead, it would show that more then 6 people survived the crash, contradicting the story that the Oceanic 6 are telling.

Yeh, her name has been brought up a lot frequently. Her being Ben's "man" on the boat would shock everyone! Just a thought...but I'm having trouble remembering the episode when Anna Lucia and Libby got shot. I know they caught Michael freeing Ben...and then were left for dead. Do we see their funeral? If not..there is a chance Anna Lucia and Ben had a chance to chat and formulate a plan...

The officer asked him if he spoke to her on the plane or before boarding the plane can't remember his exact words and Hurley said no never met her. If he acknowledged speaking with her it wouldn't really ruin anything.

See I was thinking maybe Ana is a good friend of Bens because funny how she was the one who killed Goodwin. We all know that was a set up with the stake being in the right place and everything. Also being friends or what not with Jack's Dad. So, didn't she have to know that Jack and Claire are Half brother and sister?

Very very doubtful that she lives. They buried her on the beach along with Libby. Also, off screen, the actress was having problems with the law over DUIs and I think did some jail time. So it was expedient to kill off her character.
