Charlie COULD be alive!!

I apologize if this has been discussed before, but shouldn't Charlie be alive? I'm surprised this didn't dawn on me before. The blast didn't kill him. That port hole was about halfway up the wall. Air pressure in the top of that compartment should have only let water rise to the level of the top of the ruptured window. Assuming there was no structural damage to the compartment, this should have left Charlie with two to four feet of air trapped in the top of the compartment. And I always thought he could fit through that port hole. After all, he's a freakin' hobbit.

So there ... he lives. Now someone else can figure out where he went.

I think this was extensively covered in the past and the consensus was that, yes, there should be air pockets. However, the show producers have stated that Charlie did die. That does not preclude his future appearances in FBs and FFs due to the strange factors at play.

Yeah, I didn't know if I was covering old ground. That was before I started hanging around here.
