Two thoughts after reading posts on this site:
I thought it was Jack's dad in the cabin when I saw the episode originally so I'm glad to see from the still frames posted that it is indeed Christian. However, one of the arguments for it being him was that the actor's name was in the opening credits...so was the name of the actor playing Michael (Harold Perrineau) but I don't recall seeing him in the episode. (Maybe I missed him totally). Just saying that an actor's name in the credits might not be valid "proof" of our theories.

There are theories that the eye at the cabin is Mikhail's. Everyone is talking about how Mikhail could survive the electric fence and being harpooned by Desmond. Are we also speculating that he survived the explosion of the grenade that he was holding in his hand at the Looking Glass that flooded the station and killed Charlie? (who, I agree, did not have to die...he could have swam through that porthole and to the surface)
