Ben and Juliet situation

Why is ben jealous of goodwin and why does he claim that juliet is his? I thought ben was really cute when he got all excited while he was making the dinner for juliet. Who is this Annie person too? Why did the therapist say that you looked just like her? Could you help me out with some answers?

I will try and answer what i know....

Ben of course loves Juliet, wants to be with her, etc. He called her "mine" because he believes they should be together. I'm not sure who you're talking about when you say Annie (is that the woman who juliet said died?)

Harper the therapist said "you look just like her" ..... we dont know who her is but i asume this was bens wife/lover and she became pregnant and died before juliet came to the island

I think Ben got jealous because he's in love with Juliette. Annie is the little girl Ben was friends with when he first came on the island. When the therapist says you look just like her I believe she is talking about Bens mother.

I thought ben's mother died at childbirth, that is why his father moved them both to the island. How would the people on the island know what his mother was like? They could have seen pictures but then once ben got older he killed all the people at the camp. So Harper must have been one of the orginial others. The group that made Ben kill the Dharma people at the camp.

His mother did appear to him on the island. I assume the others are just as aware of what the island can do as Ben is. Not all of the Dharma people were killed.

annie was his childhood friend. we dont know if she survived or was killed in the purge. but we have seen him clutching a gift she made for him and looking a bit thoughtful!

his mother had long wavy hair like juliet. she did die shortly after he was born but has appeared to him on the island. he also seem to ahve a portrait in his house that could possibly be of his mother.

he definitely wants juliet - whether its love or not is questionable. personally, i think she remind him of his mother. he was jealous of her relationship with goodwin so sent him off on a mission that would likely result in his death.

Well we know that Kevin Inman was for a fact a member of Dharma. The writer confirmed it in a podcast. They leave the impression that there is more that we don't know about.

I think Annie could still be alive somewhere. Ben has to have at least one flashback this season, hopefully it can reveal even more secrets of his life. I guess we'll wait and see.

i kinda agree how could ben have killed his only friend(aka first girlfriend)she could still be alive hidden away somewhere are maybe she was already gone from the island or even dead the day of the purge was bens birthday i dont know how old he was but i find it a lil funny they didnt show her come to wish him a happy birthday...perhaps she was away working in a station it seems in dharma you have the same job as your parents so maybe hers had good scientific jobs

i'm pretty sure the woman that Harper is referring to is Ben's Mom...if we've learned anything, LOST has Father issues and well why not an Oedipus complex (describes a state of psychosexual development in which a male child desires his mother and grows envious and hostile towards his father) for good old Ben??? kinda sounds like him, hating his dad and falling in love with his dead mom...who Juliet just so happens to look like.

thanks, i thought it would be the easiest way for people to get why Ben's Mom would be the "her" Harper was referring too in that session she had with Juliet.

def think that the she is his mom...and he has that painting (from when he lived with his dad) of his mom on the wall (saw on last show)...i think that it is obsession and not love...he also knows that the island needs her research....he is turned on by that too...her intelligence...but it is stalker potential....damn....wonder if they serve restraining orders on the island????lol....as for Annie...i don't think that it is likely that he saved her....the others would know with their powers...unless....she escaped on her own or was thought to have been gased and is somewhere still hiding on the island..although this is very unlikely
