With all the "Charlie Lives" talk (and I still think we should make T-shirts to that effect) I thought I'd have a little fun with Darwin & survival of the fittest.

So, unless there was also structural damage to the compartment (and there is no indication of that), Charlie was just too dumb to realize he had four feet of air above him and he drowned in a room half full of air. I think that should satisfy all Charlie Lives vs Charlie is Dead theories!! :D
As I related in another thread, I had a friend once who couldn't swim and he fell out of the canoe on the Penobscot river. Even with a life jacket he was in a panic and sure he was going to drown. Until we convinced him to stand up!!!
