yeah, rick likes lost but not as much as me but when i go off on a big brainstorming session, he usually will join in but gets bored quicker than me. but i dont know anyone outside of herer who gets as excited about it as i do!

My family figuratively pats me on the head when I talk about Lost. Phil is very tickled that I am spending so much time on the forum because he's on his computer all of the time. Now I am his double-reading and typing away. He's just chortling with glee. I find I am enjoying my time here very much! Thanks to you all!

my sister was the one that piqued my interest in the show in the first place. i think season one was well over when i found out about it, so i rented dvds and it was all over after that. i usually watch the new episodes with my buddy when it's available on the wide world of web.

My friends and family think I'm crazy, whether I watch Lost or not! But nobody really close to me watches it - I explained to my best friend that she would understand it and get into it better if she watched it from the start but she said she doesn't have the concentration so that's crap! I made her watch 'Flashes before your eyes' one night when we came in from the pub and she loved it though! I'm trying not to push it though!

That's a good idea! I'll do it! :D HAHA I'm going down to tape the show now, and watch it properly without any pauses, back up in an hour! :D

They all sort of just play along with me. My sons are really into it and like to talk about it but my DH is just OK with it. They don't mind when I make "fish biscuits"(big fish shaped sugar cookies with DHARMA stamped into them) But I usually stop talking when their eyes glaze over.
I like it here, I don't feel so freakish.

I've said it before. My hubby thinks it a big soap opera. I think he got pushed over the edge when Jack/Claire siblings came out. Then Kate has Aaron....man did he make fun of that one.

Me and the kids quietyly watch when he's not home. We text each other to avoid his scorn. But I have defended myself with, Hey, who has all the Star Trek manuels, models, klingon headpiece etc!! Now whose obsessed.

After 24 years of that and on-line gaming I think I'm entitled to a mid-life crisis of my own!
No one understands but my forum family. I don't have to eat fishbiscuits or drink Dharma wine to be in the "gang" do I. I know, I could punch Ben for initiation!

My parents watch the show and it is as if two Dodo birds were watching the show. They call me up - "why did this happen?" "How did that explode?" "Numbers?"

I am no nerd... but at least I watch a show because of interest instead of the "it's on so I will watch it" mentality. So I answer their questions to the best of my ability... to confuse them more. At least Lost gives the power of debate in conversation to the masses!

that is scarily familiar! ricks mum watches it but she misses eps here and there - hasnt seen any of seaon 3 asides from the first couple of episodes! and then she pretends she is all excited about this season then i get phone calls - who is ben, why are they on an island etc....but she is like that all the way through movies too! she continually asks questions - she thinks its cute but its just plain annoying! i remember watching prison break with her, she had never seen it so it was a constant barrage of questions. i did the in a trance thing and left rick to deal with it lol!

To this day I have not seen the first season. I don't really tell anyone I watch it. I take that night off at the gym and watch it before heading into work.

Same here...my G/F and I watch it together, and my son and daughter watch, but dont have alot of friends that watch it. If there is nothing worth watching, I watch old episodes.
And like the rest of you, I find my solice in these forums.

All my friends laugh at the show and talk about how silly it is. Of course they dont watch it.. but when they start to tease me about the smoke monster and polar bears I almost hit reality and think yeah i guess it can be a little silly. But i'm still completly addicted.
