What if Kate causes Claire's death?

Maybe Jack loves Kate, but seeing the baby will only bring harsh feelings so he tries to see Kate alone? Haven't heard anyone consider this possibility.Why does it have to be Jack's fault?

not sure what you mean here. i'd have a hard time seeing kate as being directly responsible for claire's death. she's a killer, but i don't get the impression that she's all stone cold and stuff. as far as being indirectly responsible...well...anything's possible on this friggin show i guess :)

I dont think Kate would ever do anything to hurt Clair. They are friends. Yes, Kate killed her step dad but that was only out of love for her mom (twisted yes, evil no). Do you think Jack even knows that Aaron is his nephew?? Do you think maybe Jack does not want to see him because of something related to that?

I understand what you are saying, but Kate may have accidently caused the events surrounding Claire's death-guess I should have stated that differently. I really don't see Kate as someone who would intentionally kill Claire. She does seem awfully devoted to Aaron and I wonder if she's trying to compensate in some way for what she may have indirectly caused?

That's definitely a possibility or someone else could have killed her and Jack and Kate saw it happen and just weren't able to help..the feeling of helplessness can cause great guilt and that's why Jack isn't able to face Aaron and why Kate is so devoted.

well I think claire gets on the helicopter just like desmond predicted then for some reason she needs to gett up and give kate aaron for a second and then turbulance hit the helicopter an boom she dies in front of kate jake and his poor little baby aaron butt now is kates

you could be right - there is talk of jack accidentally causing her death so i dont see why it may not be kate instead.

Who decided Claire is dead? Just because we hear there is an "Oceanic 6" it could be a coverup for something else, like when Jack said in Kate's trail only 8 people survived the crash. Just because we didn't see Claire it doesn't mean she is not off the island. The way this show goes she could show up next week in Kate's house, or is it SAwyer's house, or is it Ben's house? But, I think Jack wants to get back to the island becasue Juliet is still there.

I don't see Kate being the person who brings about Claire's end - I see it as possibly one of two people - either Ben or Locke, but it could be a freak accident, who knows. I'd rather she didn't die at all, she's so sweet! I was only just watching some old episodes of her and Charlie and felt so sad about it all, they were the sweetest couple!

That wouldn't make any sense then.....it was Jack who told Kate that he lied in court and that he does still love her....he is the one who asks her out for coffee....she tells him that there will be no coffee unless he comes to the house....SO in otherwards....she is telling him that he has to accept that she is raising Aaron or she cannot have a relationship with him cuz Aaron IS her life....if he was angry at Kate for being responsible for Claire's death then he wouldn't want anything to do with her....he wouldn't lie like he did in court for her and he wouldn't seek her out like he did and want to somehow be a part of her life without involving Aaron. I think that Claire possibly causes her own death by jumping off the freightor with Aaron..(watch the sneak peak)...Jack is just always feeling like he is responsible for leading all of the losties and maybe he feels like he should have gone with her on the heli (not 2 women by themselves):)

Looks just like blondie Claire and the baby in her arms....maybe kate has to jump in to save them and can only save Aaron.....wow...should be interesting

I just saw the sneak peek, and I've been squinting at the woman who jumps from the freighter - is it actually Claire? And I think Michael may return next week.

I had to squint too, but I don't think it was Claire, and it looked like the woman had a heavy rope wrapped around her, not a baby....LOL but I originally thought Kate called Aaron, Eric/Erin.
