Actually I don't think they can hide the names of the people that will appear in the episode. That's why they call them "credits". There is absolutely no way SAG will let them get away with that.

Ummm... no. Actors get work and compensation based on credited parts. They are not going to give someone a freebee just to be a good soldier. Not only is it a status symbol thing but it is how they make their livelyhood. The PTB are not going to hide anybody from us by not putting their names in the cast list.

I think Joe's right. The SAG or somebody requires the names to be in the credits. That's why we've seen Harold Perrineau's name in the credits all season long. Damon and Carlton touched on the subject briefly in one of their recent podcasts.

Addicted you can go with what you believe but I personally think it's naive to think they would forgo due credit. We shall see (hopefully).

I'm no expert but I'm pretty confident that the SAG would pull the actor's membership if they agreed to work without credit. The rules of the guilds are not real flexible, think of a Union, they have to stick to their rules no matter how minor the infraction might seem.

Just register that name, and get the credit for the surprise episodes.
Of couse you would need a new one for each time you appear when not expected.

I think we're beating a dead horse here. I have used IMDB for the past 3 years to check out the cast info and I can't rcall it ever being wrong or purposely inaccurate. That's just not how it works.

THey show credits at the end of the episode as well. If there's a suprise appearance you don't necessarily have to be credited at the start of the show
