Just watched the first six episodes of season four last night! Wow lost is back on amazing form! One of the recurring questions being asked on these forums seems to be who is ben's spy on the boat! It seems obvious to me that it has to be Sayid!! We know that Ben and sayid have some kind of relationship from the flash forward where sayid goes to get his bullet would fixed up by what seems like a back street surgeon who then turns out to be ben!
I didnt imediatly even suspect sayid because when Ben first declares he has a spy on the boat sayid is still on the island! My theory is this: I believe ben has the ability to see into future, Just like when Desmond's mind seems to jump back and forth through time after they left the island on the bearing 305' in the chopper and arrive on the boat, Desmond is in effect timetravelling! what if ben (because he was born on the island) has some how harnessed this ability!?
This would explain alot, like how he knew where the english Oxford scientist and the ginger english girl who parachuted in ( i forget their names, sorry, only seen the ep once!) were going and why they were going to the bunker to shut down the chemical station before the gas could be released! Thus sending Juliet to tricking Juliette to try and kill them!
lets face it ben has definitly different and some special abilities, this is why it seems he brought juliette onto the island to try and solve the reason why none of the women could get pregnant, he was desparate for someone to carry on his work/legacy.
Also why we see that a kate flash forward, it seems she has left the island with baby Erin, who was born on the island, to maybe protect the child from ben? Maybe this child is the islands one hope, which is why they have to return!!
Anyway, just jotting down some loose theories! Could be onto sumat! i bloodey love lost!
