Don't know if this has been covered already, but I assume most of you caught the "funny" scene where Ben asks Locke if the rabbit that Ben is about to eat "had a number on it" ??

Yes it has been covered. We figure it was probably something for the audience to laugh at.

I love how the writers do that. I've been watching season 2 again and in the episodes where Ben is being kept locked up in the hatch and Locke gives him a book and Ben asks, "What, no Stephen King?" I didnt catch that the first time I saw that episode and it reminded me of the first ep of season 3 when Juliet and the book club were reading Carrie and some guy refers to Ben.

however i do beleive the rabbit john killed was brown/blackish colour and not white so this shudnt hav e anything to do with the scientific experiments or any change in the rabbits timeline.

Did you know there's no 'U' in color? Maybe that's why they killed the rabbit... :--)

Actually, for our friends in the UK, they put a "u" in color/colour.
Munkey's use a U too! :D

from Ben's point of view, the rabbit didn't have fur; that line was purely for the audience!
