The children who were captured by the Others

Anyone have any ideas on what happens to the kids that were kidnapped by the Others in the beginning? Are they just to considered as Others now...or will the Losties try and grab them back?? After all, they are survivors of the crash as well.

I believe the feud between Losties and others is over. The guards/weapon people where sent to the beach to capture the women and kill anyone who resisted. Ben is with the Losties so he can't direct the others to do more bad things. The plane survivor others won't want to do anything in regards to fighting the Losties but maybe the original others might, but I doubt it :)

No one seems to acknowledge this, but 12 of the tailies were abducted the first two nights on the island. I don't think we've seen these 12 yet either.

Maybe they were brainwased by that movie in the room.

She was with the Tailies, but not one of the 12 abducted in the first 2 nights. She was walking with the group and suddenly she was gone. I still say she slipped off on her own while the rest were distracted by the Shooting of Shannon.

I think your right about her slipping away on her own, the circumstances of her disappearance are very odd, all 7 of them were together, be hard for her to get captured.

But actually, she disappeared before Anna shot Shannon. They noticed she was missing, then they heard the whispers, and then Shannon shooting followed later on.

When Sawyer,Kate and Carl were heading back to the other side of the island after Jack helped them get a head start. Kate asked Carl why they took the children? He said to give them a better life than yours.or something close to that rewatch season 3 I think episode 8 or 9 has that clip.not much info on what they are doing with the kids unless they need to add to their population since they cannot have kids of their own.

Ben and the others take people to make them part of the islands inhabitants. They don't get hurt, other than the frightening kidnappings :) I think they do this because it is mentioned that some people are on the list because they are good or bad, and they are chosen to join the community. They could also take them rather than go and ask them to join for fear that the losties would want to take over the barracks. So Ben or Jacob? didn't want certain people to join, and they couldn't just go to them and ask only some to come and others not come, it would have been a big mess, they would have objected to not being included and maybe become violent in order to have the luxuries they would be denied.

Hopefully this will be explained in another season. I've been wondering about those children myself. No one seems to care that they're gone! wtf? Bernard knows that they were kidnapped. But it's like no one cares.
