Yellow post card

In a wonderful show of making things complicated, my friend bought my ticket — which I have a yellow post card for. I later bought two tickets for two of my friends, and they didn't get post cards. I read on the website somewhere that purchases after a certain date wouldn't get post cards (the earliest of the two was purchased on 7/20, the other was on 08/11). If they don't have post cards, do they just need to bring in their photo IDs? Should I print off the confirmation email, just in case?
