LOST Acronym

Please forgive me if this has been addressed already (I'm willing to bet it has). Does anyone have any insight about the name of the show, besides the obvious fact that the people are "lost"? The name is in all caps, so it may suggest an acronym: LOST.

Any thoughts, previous posts?

Not an acronym but LOST spelled backwards is TSOL which is a legendary Punk Band. TSOL stands for True Sounds of Liberty. Just a thought.

I don't think it necessarily has to stand for anything. It honestly to me seems more of a red herring issue; although a lot of people think everything is intentional on the show I doubt this is one of them. That's just me, though. And seeing as the word LOST, in that style, has never been mentioned in the show, I doubt it is specifically involved in the show.

and by the way, this reminded me of anagrams ( they're not acronyms, but...)
has anyone not realized yet that if you rearrange the letters in "Mittelos" (as in the place Richard worked Mittelos Bioscience) you get "Lost Time"?
and rearrange the letters in "Hoffs/Drawler" (the funeral home) you get "flashforward" ! is that cool?
