sorry if this was posted in another thread or the theory was already made by someone else.
i think the flash forwards are being shown backwards.
in other words, jack's flash forward would be closest to the point they return to the island, and as the season progresses the flash forwards get closer to the point they left the island.

I think that the writters are presenting the flashforwards randomly, to keep us thinking. Just like todays episode when Sun was in laabor and we see Jin running like a madman to procure a toy for what we think is he and Sun's baby, when we find out later that the two episodes had nothing to do with the other and that the times were off too ie. Jin telling them that he had only been married a couple of months when procuring the panda bear, whilel Sun was in labor much later in their marriage ! The writers are very clever litle devils!

Great thought it does seem the flashforwards are getting closer to ilsand time. This is true to this point good catch.

Jin saying that he has been married for two months could have been a cover. I think jin made it off the island, but is not an O6 member. The tombstone that Hurley and Sun were looking at was a fake.

previously on "LOST".....
"flash forwards" are actually the show's present time (Sun's pregnancy, Kate and Aaron, Bearded Jack) and everthing we've seen thus far has taken place in the past. "LOST" is a very well written and directed time-fractured story.
the time fractured technique in Hollywood is often used when a story is told over several timelines, and NOT NECESSARILY viewed/presented in sequence. EXAMPLE: "PULP FICTION"........more to come

Thank you for your post. You said it a little more clearly than I, but we agree that that the flashforwards and flashbacks are NOT NECESSARILY viewed/presented in sequence. I have never heard the term "time- fractured", but the name fits the bill for what I was trying to convey!

What if the tombstone with the date was done as a memorial to both Sun and Jin right after the plane went down. Everyone would have been assumed to have died on that day. I could see Jin making sure Sun was on the first helicopter out, maybe Jack gets on that flight but Claire does not and now he fells guilty since for some reason there were no other helicopter flights.
