Island time line

Ben said 80 days the survivors have been on the island in s4e1. Oceanic announced its re-opening on December 28th 2007. That still leaves 3 years and some change between the islands date and the "real world's" date. Whether this slowing down of time was done by Dharma or is actually an island property is unknown.

ORRRRR,,,,,It could be that this is a TV show!! and they don't film 24/7, and there is no way, they'd be filming for 3 years straight. Just saying, there has to be some line drawn between the REAL world and LOST world, they do a good job making it real, but as far as the timeline match up goes, its almost impossible.

Here's an idea.
Perhaps the reason we keep seeing a 2004 date on the island is because the island isn't the prsent time line but the past being told to us.

The Flash Fwds. These are hard to explain and Im not completly sure how to explain them But here are some options.

A.) We know for a fact they are atleast two yrs after the island and possably five yrs.

B.)could be the present and the future mixed. Here's how. In Jack's flash Fwd we see him using a phone that wasn't made untill 2006 there's the minmum yr range and possible present time line. Then another case we see a lugage tag that dates 2009 there's the possable maxmum yr range and distant future time range.

So Jack's Flash Fwd was either 2 or 5 yrs after the island time or it's a combnation of the present and future in one Flash Fwd.

I think Hurley's Flash Fwd was perhaps 1 yr after the island rescue. Because it was way before Jack grew out his beard and Jack was still working happely at the hospital. Where in his Flash back it seems he has had a mental breack down for quite some time now and is highly disgruntle and depressed and on narcos and alchol.

If you play find815 (which has everything to do with the show) you find out that Oceanic closed down due to the 815 dissapearance. They announced their re-opening but Sam Thomas wouldn't have it. He wanted to find 815. Oceanic's re-opening and Sam's discovery of the wreckage in the Indian Ocean. So it is assumed by Sam's storyline that everybody is still missing December of '07

Dude its the dude ^^^^^^^^^^ LOL. Relax man, its just a show, we just come on this site to try to better understand it, u don't have to explode ur feelings all over the place like the hatch LOL. I'm sure the find815 thing is just there to keep the "mysteries" coming and keep viewers interested, but hell I know its working because we're all following this stuff, it makes it way more interesting. Don't hold grudges just because people are having a funner time talking about the show that U are LOL.:D Anyway if U are so concerned that its just a show, why are u on the forum and not watching the TV LOL. Actualy. Find 815 doese have something to do with LOST or else it wouldn't be an ABC aflicate site. Sam's story is outside the show. He most likely will never be seen,meantioned,or noticed in the show same goese with his girl.

What this site doese is give helpful clues as to what is going to be going on durring the course of Season four. It was meant to calm your need for LOST during the course of it's seven month wait.

1) That's right it is 2004 on the island. The reason being is becaus e I belive it's the past being retold or just being told to us as a story.

2) Oceanic did re-open it's doors by 2007 after a long period of searching for flight 815. The plane was said to have been found in the indian Ocean on the show by Locke's dad and Namoie as well as by Sam in the game.

3)On the show It was confirmed on the outside world that flight 815 went down some where near the Indian Ocean and all where cofirmed dead on board. Which we know better because here they are alive on the island. It seems someone played a huge cover up story. This is further hinted by Sam's discovery in the game that everyone is missing in 2007.

4) With all that said. We know it's 2004 on the island and it seems they will be rescued in 2004 or is it 2005 since Jack's Flash Fwd is set two yrs after the crash. I would say 2005. So It takes some time before Oceanic will open it's doors. So it was 2007 when they finaly open the doors. According to Jack's Flash Fwd It is now two yrs after the crash. Now Jack said he has been using the Golden pass to fly out every Fri. Hoping that the plane would crash again. So the show is going along with the re-opening date of Oceanic.

Im not so sure why the game find 815 wouldn't go along with the same date as the show and Oceanic's re-opening date. Because according to the show. Some time in the future it will be discoverd that 815 had survivers and the outside world will know the truth. Like I say. I belive the events of find 815 where part of the cover up story told by Locke's dad and Namoie.

i personally liked how the writters put the show into real world time instead of busting a star wars to cover for them "some where on another planet, where anything could happen." at least thats not the setting (p.s. nothing against star wars, in fact, i like star wars.)
