The administrator posted a link to the old Aimoo board. I tried to go there and got the main page but could not log onto any specific threads.

I wouldn't doubt it if these writers try to pull a fast one and leave us with out a finale in 4. :mad:

I read on yahoo that the producers said that if the strike ends by the middle of February, they would be able to film up to 12 episodes before the May finale. They also said that even with only 8 episodes, these will be more satisfying and action packed because they'll have less episodes to develop the story to the point they want it before season 5.

[QUOTE=chester;298796]I.... the unverse is completely predetermined and free-will is just an illusion. /QUOTE]
Randomness does not equal choice
]
My Question is this: Jacob touches EVERYBODY but NOT Ben and said to him that he had a "choice". Everybody who Jacob touches seem to be destined to be on the island?
Debate me please!:)
ABC's LOST Final Season 6 (http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/39948/ptosis.html)"Destiny Calls
What does choice mean? Every decision shapes which probabilities are most likely to occur but everything about yourself up to that moment influences your decisions moment to moment. Limited free will is the assumption that free will and determinism coexist. There are other philosophers
who have argued that the concept of a limited free will is a cop-out because if there is an omnipresent god then no free will is possible and nor does randomness lead to free will."
What is the item for debate? That being touched by Jacob removes free-will? I don't know, didn't he suggest to Hurley that he was free to choose, after he touched him. I don't know what Jacob touching people does, but I don't think it removes free-will. I think maybe it might connect them all together, so that if things change around them they will still be 'together' or something.
My favourite thoughts on free-will are by the philosopher/cognitive scientist Daniel Dennett (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_Evolves), who claims that free-will is the ability to make choices in an otherwise deterministic world - thus making the inevitable, evitable - which has evolved.
