Im questioning if either is dead.The bullets sounded odd though i cant pin point it and that didnt seem like enough blood...maybe a tranquilizer of some sort..though im not sure if they would act that fast.Or they could be dead.shrug

Carl most likely is dead. Since Alex announced to the shooters that she is Ben's daughter, she will hopefully use this as leverage to save Danielle somehow. But damn! I was not expecting two people to get hit!

No reason to exclude Ben's people from the Temple as in on the shooting. Who know's what Ben is up to. He didn't like Karl and he was losing his Daughter to Danielle...

This was, in my opinion, the worst episode in the show's history. They spent 55 minutes re-telling things we already know, and five minutes at the end creating cliff hangers. What a joke. As great as some of the earlier episodes this season were, this was absolute crap.

well you saw the look he gave carl when he had his hand on alex's back and then all the sudden is telling them to go to the Temple....yeah I think he was in on it somehow but who knows. I didn't think Aaron was one of the 6 and I was wrong there lol

I first thought was armed men from the boat...then I keep seeing those guys using a machine gun to shoot clay targets off the boat. They don't seem like highly trained troops that could sneak up on Rouseau. Maybe perosnnel from the other boat with Widmore has better trained troops.

I agree with you. Most of the viewers do not frequent these forums like we do, so some the items we saw tonight were more shocking to some people than others. Plus, Michael's back story told us mostly what happened with Walt and how he got to be on the boat. His inner struggle was much greater than I expected.

This is actually very good. He gave them the map. It could have been wrong to lead them into a trap. In the episode it showed Ben looking at karl while he was holding Alex. It looked like Ben didnt like that one! So I'm going with Ben. He shot them!

i think it was one of Bens groups, Ben know too much stuff, he wanted to be captured, he is telling the losties only what he wants them to know. Ben is in complete control of the island, he only wanted his daughter saved by his people, i belive it will come out he has been in contact with the "others" all along,

Yeah, that was something, but most of the show wasn't rehashing things. What did we really learn besides that? That Tom might have been gay? I guess it confirmed that Widmore staged the wreckage, but really all of that could have been taken care of in much less time.

The episode really felt like the writers knowing a strike was looming so they had to make the episode uncase it could be the last one of the season. Overall I think it was a very poor effort.

I think Ben set them up.....he did not like Carl....we all know that....and he was probably afraid that Alex "might" get pregnant on the island which we all know is not good.....so he set them up to save Alex.....! He did not like the fact that Rousseau was back in Alex's life either, so by sending all of them to the temple for "protection" he just set them up....and b/c of his undying love for Alex, they believed that he was doing this last effort to save them when in all probability he sent them to the Temple knowing that "his people" would kill them. I don't think Rousseau (sp) is dead though, but that has to still be played out....maybe she is dead! But, this was all a plan of Bens...he is so sneaky....!

I'm not too sure about Rousseau being dead, either. For real, that would suck so bad for her to have survived this long on that island, and go through all the things she went through to finally get her daughter back and then get shot!!!:( I am still thinking that it was a set up by Ben....but why would he have her killed now when he could have just done it when he had Alex kidnapped?? I think that it was the big guy(the guy who was shooting things) from the freighter that shot Danielle and Karl.
in the last episode we saw the big guy tell Frank not to be late. Then later sayid asked where the helicopter is and the doc said he was running an errand. Sayid then asked to the island? then someone jumped in the water. and in this episode u don't see neither the big guy or Frank, and u can also see that the helicopter isn't on the freighter. and I also think that the big guy will be the new A-Hole of the series like that guy who was trying to kill sawyer in season 3.

They are both dead. Tom said the island won't let you die unless it want's you to but Michaels gun jammed it didn't bounce off his head. Carl and Rouseau had bloody holes in them! It is Ben and his control.

i think that danielle is still alive and not even a pistol with a silencer on it would make a bullet shot that quiet, so it has to be a tranquilizer! we know for sure that karl is dead because he got shot in the heart. but danielle got shot in the stomach or in the back i couldn't tell. a lot of people have survied that kind of shot ex: lock got shot where is kidney should be

ex: naiomi got hit in the back with locke's knife and walked away and climbed up a tree!

ex: ben got hit in the back/shoulder with ans arrow from one of danielle's traps

Danielle is Alex's mother and Ben is Alex's biological father. They have been pretending that Alex was taken from Danielle by Ben, but really they created her together. It is just another form of trickery on Ben's part... and maybe Danielle's.

i also think she is dead (which is a shame as i liked her but her 'thing' is over with now, she found alex) but have my fingers crossed she will feature in future eps,flashback style as i'd really like to know more about her arriving on the island.

we might see it from bens point of view though, watching her and taking alex from her etc...
