at the end of episode 1 kate and jack find 'reescue guy' the way they looked him makes me think we've seen him before in some way, wheres he from?

No this actor hasn't been on the show yet, he's being introduced along with 5 other new characters. I doubt he's made any guest appearances yet considering he was just cast, but ya never know with this show :)

Did both Jack and Kate give their names to the people at the other end of the sat-phone? Jack did it when he made the first contact and Kate made it when she tracked down Naomi in the jungle. Thats how they knew their names. When the jumper asked if he was Jack, they could have looked surprised because they had forgotten they had given their names to them.

maybe they were suprised because they were expecting to be rescued and the helicopter only dropped 1 person off not a rescue party..? just a thought.
