If I heard it right, Michael entered the following code into the bomb's keypad - 7..1..7..7..6....what happened to the numbers? that would have been a classic scene to to use them. maybe the 'non-numbers' pop-up the flag and the real numbers go KABOOM!

i know! they never really ended there is so many unanswerd questions regarding them mabey they will get answerd.

Well, could the numbers represent July of 1776-Independence Day when the Declaration was signed? so, when Michael blows up the freighter someone is set free? Ben? The survivors? Michael? The Others?

It is Michaels Independence from his demons (abandoning the people on the island, killing the two women.. ultimately losing his son)... now trying to set right what he wronged.

i think like many of the lost mysteries, they are taking a back seat for now and are not the main focus for this season.
