As we've just seen Christian Sheppard in Jacob's hut, my girlfriend suggested the six survivors of Oceanic 815, well, the ones that got air-lifted off the island, anyway, were connected with Jack's Dad because they all met him at various times before they crashed onto the island.
Sounded a great theory, until we relised Hurley hasn't met him (yet?)

I'm going to add my thoughts on the 6.

As I watched it, I said K, J, H (of course)
then I thought Jin and Sun because whatever negotiating was done, (if they were allowed to negotiate) I'm SURE they would have tried to get Sun off because of the risk to her of giving birth on island).

I don't know if they would count Aaron as one of the 6? Maybe not if he is a baby - so it is poss that there could be a 6th (Sayid?) PLUS the baby.

I also had a crazy thought that Jack would prob have wanted Juliet to be rescued too - they had all that bonding time over wanting to get off the island, her sister etc etc. Now THAT would also make for good twists. IF the freighetr HAD picked up Juliet as one of the people from the island - how in heaven's name would people have been able to work out how she came to be on the island if she wasn't on the plane...

I quite like the idea of them trying to work all that out...

I'm having trouble seperating the speculation from the proven facts here. Let me get this straight: the only 100% confirmed members of the Oceanic Six as of right now are Kate, Jack, and Hurley, correct? Where are people getting the idea that Kate would raise Aaron? And what makes anybody think that this flash-forward of Jin buying a stuffed animal is not simply a flash-back? The first episode of Season 4 was rife with flash-backs and surely any sneak-previews of Season 4 would include flash-back footage.

Well Kate might be the only woman getting off the island and of now is the only one confirmed. So I imagine thats why people would think she would raise Aaron. I doubt Claire would want Jack or Hurley, specially with his past raising the baby. I don't think Sun and Jin get off, atleast not now anyways.

people seem to be forgetting that Desmond told Charlie he saw Aaron AND Claire get on the helicopter and leave the island...Claire has to be one of the six unless Desmond just said that to get Charlie to go through with the suicide mission...But so far Desmond hasn't been wrong

I am beginning to think now that Kate may well NOT be one of the Oceanic 6. She was a fugitive and although she is back, she may not have wanted all the press coverage. She is clearly not in prison now (unless the 'he' that she has to get back to is some kind of prison guard that she has to stay with!)

Remember Claire's fortune teller guy too? The one who later said he was a fake and turned out to be the Dad of the girl who was aive in her autopsy? HE said Claire must NEVER LET ANOTHER raise her child. Could this have implications IF Aaron is being raised by someone else?

hey guys sorry if me posting episode info was inappropriate, i did label it spoiler and didnt really give too much away. I just think that knowing every detail ruins it, but knowing some facts about it are fun as it lets you speculate as to what will happen in that episode without shooting blind, and its ever more surprising when they trun around and show you something different as they usually do in lost.

Im a big fan and dont want to ruin it for people, so if anyone wants any spoilers PM me, otherwise ill leave any facts out of general posts.

I'm a Newbie so go easy on me if this is old hat, but my theories on the 6 run something like this...We've got Jack, Hurley, Kate.

I'm thinking Aaron & Claire, because of Desmond's vision.

I'm then thinking Locke, because we know whoever is in the coffin in series 3 killed himself. Locke wouldn't be able to cope if he wasn't on the island, we don't know whether he would be able to walk or not. As he was fostered do we actually know his place of birth?

I don't think Sun get's off because it would make the whole point of her being pregnant a little pointless.

However all we know is women who conceive on the island die along with their babies, so if she left would she still die because the baby was conceived on the island.

Sorry alot of that was thinking out loud. Would like to know your thoughts?

I just watched the episode with Jack on the plane and while there is an Asian woman behind Jack on the plane, it's not Sun. At first it looks like her, but later in the clip it does not look anything like her. The man next to her doesn't look anything like Jin. During the time Jack and the flight attendant are talking you can see the top of the man's head and it is not shaped like Jin at all (too wide) So, they may be 2 of the 6, they weren't on the plane with bearded Jack.

Perhaps the seventh person alluded to, the one who wasn't on the flight, is Jin's and Sun's baby.

That would make more sense than Kate caring for Arron. Besides - Claire had to be the one to raise Aaron or else he would turn out bad... remember?

I also think it's Ben in the coffin - if the obit references a teenage child - it could be referring to Alex and it makes more sense that no one would be there to say goodbye to him since he lived on the island his whole life.

Just a thought....

I think if the group were picking 6 to go home, they'd pick Sun, Jin, Claire, Aaron, Jack and maybe Kate if it turned out she was pregnant - also maybe Juliet cos she's desperate to go home. Latest I read(thru the "moviegoers grapevine"), two major characters on the island meet thier demise. The baby lives...."He must", after all, he was born there. Remember what Locke read ?
