I am confused, can someone clear this up?

you know the recent episode with desmond and the side effects? well when desmond went back to 1996, and then came back, he did not remember anything after 1996. so when he met that radio operator in the bed that was switching between times too, the dude said he was just on a ferris wheel or carosel or something like that. so when they released him, how come he remembered how to get to the radio room if he couldn't remember anything after that point?

there were a few threads on this right after that episode (the constant) - in brief it seems minkowski did recall memories from his displacements, but that was also just before he died. perhaps as the displacements continue to occur you begin to retain some of the experiences. minkowski seemed to be having his displacements for a few days before desmond started his, but desmond did remember penny's phone number.

I haven't read all the other threads on this topic, but it may have something to do with being on or off the island. If you believe there is some sort of wrinkle in time around the island (the time delay with the rocket), then Desmon'ds previous time travel happended on island time. He didn't get amnesia until the helicopter crossed the time "wrinkle" line. Minkowski as never been to the island, so he is still in normal world time. SO if Minkowski were to cross the time line and go onto the island his memory of time travel might be different or forgotten as well.

Mininowski remembered more than just where the radio room was. He remembered Penny's calls and so forth too. That means 2004 was his "present" time. Maybe his mind was flashing to the future, as Eloise's did.

The same thing that happened to Eloise happened to him. I don't think him being crazy was it. LOL.
