If the whole mission of Widmore was to kill everyone on the Island then why didn't Daniel and Rachael let the gas kill them all? That would have been easier right? With Michael being on board wouldn't that cause some conflict too? Michael knows the whole story about the fake 815. It doesn't add up.

Agreed, they may of been part of the team that was put together, but I dont think they are there to harm anyone. Their agenda is all about the island.

I think Miles is looking for the drugs from the plane maybe? I mean he went to that house and got the drug money so he knows about that.

I don't know about all this. Because Miles, Daniel and Charlotte came with Frank to the island - and Frank returned to the freighter. Granted, they could be working for Widmore while being double agents and working for someone else to save the island, but I don't think so.

I think they all work for Widmore, but some of them have different motives for going to the island in the first place. Half of them genuinely want to help and half of them want to kill anything that moves.

Maybe they were disabling it so Ben couldn't use it against them once all of their people arrived.

I think that Mr. Abaddon, who apparently works for Charles Widmore, hired the Freighter and the Fantastic Five (now Four) of Frank, Miles, C.S., Daniel and the now dead leader what's her name.

Frank took off in the helicopter with, I believe, Keamy and Omar, to go and find and capture Ben. From the previews, it looks like they are going to the barracks and any Survivors that get in the way will be killed. Whether or not Frank is going to be one of the commandos is unclear.

I think Charolette is a Dharma spy (remember the polar bear bones in North Africa) who is trying to find out what exactly happened to those all killed by Ben in his purge.

Daniel is there to figure out the physics of the island. He may be working for Widmore, but he has his own agenda as well considering his time travel experiments eight years previously.

Miles is, in my opinion, an agent of Ben's that was planted on the ship along with Michael. Miles knows who Michael is, but he is unaware of Miles real loyalty. Remember when Miles asked Ben for $3,200,000? That was a coded message saying the Freighter folks came in on bearing 325.

Widmore wants Ben alive for reasons unknown. Charolette and Daniel were trying to prevent Ben from releasing the gas. They very well may go back and open the valves after Ben is caught, but their initial priority was to catch Ben.

Widmore probably does want all the Oceanic Survivors dead. No witnesses to what he's up to. I think he staged the wreck in the deep ocean trench because he intends to kill everyone on the island.

Remember Abaddon wanting to know if they are still alive. So why wouldn't he know that information?

i am not sure abaddon works for widmore - although it is possible. however, if he is not then charlotte and daniel are part of the team that he put together so not necessarily working with widmore. plus, remember it was ben who said widmore would kill everyone on the island which so it may not even be true or not imminently true.

Didn't know that.

BUT, it seemed to me that Miles was acting like the proverbial cat that ate the canary when he was talking to Michael as he came aboard the Freighter.

Either his ghost esp was getting vibes from Michael or he knew more than he was letting on.

The writers said that they dismiss things to the public so the plot isn't given away. They said that about the time travel and it really was time travel. Just some info.

we've only seen one person "time travel" but in his own mind. so I don't think that the time travel theroy stands good now...

That's one of the many questions about their entire mission. Usually eggheads like Daniel and Rachel don't make good hired killers, so its likely they think their mission to the island is very different than the real plan, whatever that may be. And apparently each was chosen for his particular skill, which has nothing to do with killing off everyone on the island. There are too many pieces missing at this point.
