First Shannon takes Vincent and dies. Then Ana Lucia.
We need to see a backstory on this furry friend - or hound from hell.

NO! NO! NO! Not dog of death. If you remember, there was a couple of times that Vincent was Sawyers only friend. In S.O.S. at the end, they were showing all the different "couples" Charlie & Claire, Jack & Kate, Rose and Bernard and there they were, Sawyer with Vincent, feeding him bites. awesome!
And, although nobody really cares, if they would have realised what he was telling them, Nikki & Paulo would not have been buried alive.
Somehow, in my little crazy idea, the entire show will end up as "being seen through his eyes".

He's a robot, recording all of the actions taking place on the island for some omnipotent being. How perfect is this, nobody ever worries about what they say or do in front of the dog. ;)

Wasn't he either the first or second face we saw in the whole series?

I think Vincent is a mental projection from Walts mind, but he just doesnt realize it yet. Vincent clearly isnt just a dumb mutt, hes very intelligent, and yes, there must be more to him then meets the eyes.
Seeing Expose the second time around, Vincent is definetely trying to tell the Lostees that they were alive. I think when all is said and done, if we look back on everything Vincent has done, we understand him him much more.
I think Vincent is good.

Vincent is good dog, not the smartest on the planet, not as obediant as we would have our "dream" dog be, but basically a good dog. He has seen a lot more of the Island than any of the survivors, ya know how dogs have to maark their territory, and during his disapearances he had to fend for himself, so he is not the dumbest ddog either. I don't think he is a robot, or evil, but he can't be forgotton ass one of the main guys on the show!

I vote demon dog.
Walt kills birds, with his mind somehow. How does vincent survive, unless the power was given to walt from vincent. Vincent will play a larger role in lost, I say he saves someone, you gotta have the air bud sorta dog saves the day thing.
