I have been thinking and i just want to put my 2 cents in i wanted to if the flashes are set in stone what IS GOING TO BE? I mean it's sad to think my friend Hurley goes crazy and gets put in the hospital for nutz then to see Jack change to what he would never be. I have never watched a show that keeps me on the edge of my seat like this one I have never watched a show that makes me think this much keeps you guessing as to what is going to happen.

thats what i like about this show, you never know whats going to happen, and even when you do, u don't know how or when it is gonna happen. Thats why i don't really like the flashforwards cause, I am not likeing how things are turning out off the island, I hope there not permanent.

wouldn't it be messed up if it was a dream like Dallas was for that season? right before the plaine takes off someone tells them to stop not going to happen i would be mad if it ended like that but still I love the show just want to know more! it would be a great movie!

Yeah, from day one season 1 you have to expect the unexpected, like fior example, remember how you felt when
1.Charlie was found hanging from a tree.
2.Libby and Ana got shot by Michael.
3.When you see a flashback and recognize someone from another character life.
4.The first time you figured out it was a flash forward not a flash back. so cool this show is like no other.

well we obviously know that not all of them get off, and the island is trying to get them to come back, so I'm sure they will eventually come back, I'm not sure when though.

I think the Flashforwards are written in stone, if they werent, it would take away all credibility of the Flashforwards. It would make them irrevelant, much like the 3rd Terminator Movie.

As i said, i think they are written in stone, but clearly there is a lot that has to happen to the charactors to get them to where they are. For example, Jack way in the future was messed up and wanted to go back to the island, but Jack in the near future was normal, sane, and didnt want to go back at all. the next 47 episodes will cover what happens between present time on the island and the future, probably a time after Messed up Jack gets back to the island and returns home or dies in the end.

Very accurate comment in my view :) Especially about Terminator 3, what a shame! The f-f are there for a reason, they happened.

I don't think the flashe forwards are set in stone, because everything I've ever seen tells that one little thing different changes the future. Such as Desmond telling someone their gonna die and them not doing something, and bam, new future.

Dude, guys the future is not set in stone, look at Back to the Future, as MArty goes through the story the future changes, for example the photographs, ie: him never being born because his parents never met. ANYWAY, the future is never set in stone, this is just a glimpse of what could happen given the current circumstances, if things keep going this way, thats how the future is going to turn out. Right now, I don't like the future, and I think the writers intend to make sure the characters know their future, and create a storyline of them fixing all their mistakes.

It may work out that way. If there is some sort of time shift with time on the island running differently than that outside the island, we may find that the flash-forwards aren't really that "way in the future". Just a thought.
