wow, I know about the whole plane found in trench thing and all, but I never saw that video, pretty cool. There must be some reason they would go through all that trouble for a show unless it was relevant. Completely intact too, interersting.

its a video of a breaking news story that Oceanic has been found on the ocean floor. It has an anchorman reporting this over a video with a plane with oceanic written on the side and he goes on to say that they have found bodies on the plane but are not allowed to show it due to legal reasons. An investigation is underway, it cuts to a new reporter offering speculation but the ghraphics of the plane are very very similar to the actual one in the show and while it doesnt look like lost camerawork or direction, it really does seem legit.

Plus they mention that the plane is barely damamged.....:S

found intact AND with bodies inside!!!!! That's crazy!!! I guess then naomi was telling the truth...I thought maybe that they planted a plane down there to close the case...but the bodies really turns that theory upside down. Strange, because when they crashe, we saw that plane completely break in half!!!!

That is so crazy. That brings up so many questions...

1. Who planted the fake plane?
2. Who's bodies are those? Obviously are survivors are on the island.
3. How is it relevant?

I still think that! They said that they couldn't show the footage of the bodies out of respect to their familes, so they could continue saying that.

And, wouldn't they leave the wreckage down there? So they'd never have to actually produce the bodies.

If there are somehow two real planes, and two sets of real people, I'd think it was a total storyline cop-out and really lame. I'd be pissed.

I'm really hoping for the plant by Oceanic so they wouldn't have to spend any more money or time searching.

You know, it knid of makes sense. What I am talking about is the Lawyer going to see Hurley in the institution. Its a cover up! Oceaninc lost track of their plane, the real one that broke up over the Lostees island, and assumed it wet down. So, for some unknown reason, they tried to cover it up by showing footage of a plane that is supposidly on the bottom of the ocean. If they say that the plane is in a deep revine and its unreachable because of its depth, then no one will go to look for it. Especially if they don't say where exactly it is. The reporter said they were getting conflicting reports about its location. They also said there were bodies onboard but were not releasing the names for legal reasons but all onboard perished.

Believable right?

Not after the Oceanic 6 show up! Now they have a big problem. How can there be survivors when they reported that everyone onboard had died? The lawyer in the institution was asking Hurley about other people on the flight because they don't want a lot of supposed deid people showing up all of a sudden.

So, to answer Midniterunner's questions:
1. Oceaninc planted the fake plane.
2. There probably aren't any bodies. They said the plane was hard to get to and they never realy say where it is so no one will go search for bodies. So, maybe there aren't any bodies onboard, kind of like Oceaninc saying, "all of the bodies are there, just take our word for it".
3. Oceaninc is trying to close the investigation. Maybe there was something onboard that plane that was bad and they don't want anyone to go look for it.

I can't believe it's a planted plane. Where would they get the bodies. Randomly hitting up funeral homes..doesn't make sense. I would think the families of the deceased would want answers...and they would want the bodies of their loved ones. The airline would have been better off never finding the plane.

They take one of their planes.. Have the pilot go in as if it's going to land on the water, he escapes by parachuting out (or however), rescue people pick him up. The plane is undamaged because it DIDN"T free-fall from the sky.

It would be a big project, yes, but it's still possible.

And either way, I like it better than the weak play of there possibly being two planes.

Like I said before, they wouldn't have to supply bodies! They have the whole plane intact, so they "know" ALL the people inside are dead. They aren't going to recover the plane. It's too deep in the water. Plus, all the bodes would be all rotty and gross. Nobody is going to want to look at them. If it were someone close to you, would you want to see their body after months under the water, all bloated and rotty, wormy beasts crawling around in it, or would you rather just remember them as you remember them?

Yeah! I totally agree with everything you said..

The 6 know exactly what happened and now Oceanic has to MAKE SURE that they don't tell. Maybe it's why that guy was so creepy.

Although, originally I thought the guy wasn't part of Oceanic and he was just saying he was...

i think that Abbadon (the guy who visited hurley) wasnt from Oceanic because it just had that feel that there was something sinister, nothing liek from an airline.

The hnaso foundation? The dharma initiative? some new evil?

either way the one on the bottom of the ocean can either not be 815, by which its a big conspiracy and something bad is going to happen (which sounds great)

OR

Naomi was telling the truth, the breaking news report is accurate, and theres some alternate time/space **** going on, which i wont like as thats way JJ abrahams and i think Lost deserves better than some sci fi deus ex machina.

thats for certain so if it is forged....who are the people in it? and more importantly who went to the lengths of making a detailed computer generated model of oceanic 815...to know that it means absolutely nothing at all?

well my thinking is that Ben is still alive, and still working with island stuff. That lawyer guy that saw Hurley, was maybe, maybe working for Ben. Cus Ben had ppl all around the world checking out different things, nd getting the 411. So when the lawyer asked, "are they still alive?" he might have been referring to something that doesnt happen yet. something we havent seen. too early to try nd make heads or tails of the situation...
