Greetings fellow Lostlings ;)
With the information given in 4x09 I am feeling a clearer image coming up, its like we are starting to see the outer frame of the puzzle (arch-length /-structure/plot-relevance).
The eye for an eye (Penny for Alex) twist at the episodes end as well as the overall good vs. evil plot is shimmering through more intensely and it does feel similar to the original star wars character setup.
The Star wars T-shirts "clicking" of JJ and Damon mentioned in the season 1 box extras shows both their affection to the SW-movies.
It is yet one more reference to what may have been set up as the original show layout pitch (amongst other references to Survivor, Lord of the flies. asf.)
That said, I am still not even close to an own "grand unifying theory" yet.
I think ,once it becomes clear what Jacobs list is all about, weŽll have a master key to the whole structure and remaining secrets.
Cheers oLO
PS:Emerson @ the piano was great and felt way more real than Matt Fox !
