Do they count Desmond as one of the members of the flight? (Oceanic 6)
And if they don't would they count baby Aaron as one of the flight members to make him one of the 6?
Just a thought. =]

No, it isn't. A promo said all of the members of the Oceanic six have been revealed and it cycled through pictures of all of them including Aaron. Jack, Kate, Sun, Hurley, Sayid, and Aaron are the Oceanic six. The only other person we've seen off the island is Ben, but he seems to have teleported off the island and didn't come with the six. If Desmond got off the island, then he wouldn't be part of the Oceanic Six because he wasn't on the plane.

I know that. But Aaron being in the Oceanic 6 and the official story that Jack told at Kate's trial, among other things, make Aaron being in the Oceanic 6 and Kate's son a very slim possibility. There is still a lot about the situation that doesn't add up.

Obviously Aaron is not Kate's son, he's Clair's. And, yes, Jack lied about some things at the trial, but I don't get what about that makes Aaron being one of the Oceanic Six a slim possibility. Aaron was on the Plane (and also in Clair's womb) and was one of the six people to make it off the island. That makes him part of the Oceanic Six.

Because the official story of the Oceanic 6 is that Aaron belongs to Kate. Kate always refers to Aaron as "my son", Kate's mother wants to see her grandson - so we can pretty much bet that the Oceanic 6 is telling people Aaron is Kate's child.
Now, if Aaron belongs to Kate, then they have to say Kate gave birth on the island. There are a few things wrong with that - the Marshall escorting Kate surely would have made note to his superiors that Kate was pregnant. They likely also would not have put Kate on a plane since flying that far along during pregnancy would be dangerous to the baby's health.
Kate couldn't have had Aaron before she got on the flight, again because of the Marshall. He would have either contacted his superiors or put the child into foster care. She couldn't have gotten pregnant on the island because that wouldn't give enough time for her to have a 2 year old child during the trial.
Jack's official story as told during the trial was that 8 people survived the crash and 6 people lived through it all. You would not count a pregnant woman as 2 people. Instead, he would have said 5 people lived through it all and one gave birth to make it 6. Furthermore, if Kate was in her third trimester, she likely would not have been able to rescue and take care of the other survivors like they claim she did.
If you do a search for Aaron and the Oceanic 6, this kind of stuff is brought up a lot. There are just so many inconsistencies between stories and how things could work...

i guess the media considers him on the plane, but my objection is- he wasn't on the manifest. An oversight the media most likely overlooked due to a flashy headline name "The Oceanic 6"
an alternative could be "5 survivors and a baby"

Desmond can't be one of the Oceanic 6. He wasn't on the plane, or on the manifest.

I'm confused about why this is being debated at all?
We already know who the O6 are.
