Hey everyone, I'm new here and have been dying to write down some
observances.
Here we go:
1. Hurley said Charlie materialized by the "Ho Ho's"
2. Jack and Hurley played horse and only got to "HO" Ho Ho Ho
3. Hurley was drawing an Igloo in the last episode.
4. Christmas Island
5.Desmond referred to the Island as a "Snow globe"
6. Penny's people in the arctic station
7. the freighter taking so long to go not very far "ice breaker"
8. Ben telling locke about the box where whatever he wanted would appear
Let me know what you think

Here we go a new theory, that is way out of bounds to do with anything. But who knows it may turn out, maybe Jacob is Santa Clause, but maybe he isn't. It will be interesting to see what people have to say here .Maybe they will start writing out x-mas lists to Jacob,LOL....

I actually think that was really observant hondo..definately made me think about things a little more,I love hearing about what other people have picked up on from the show, its great to see things from a different angle :)

The letters H and O show up several times in this episode. "H" is the 8th letter of the alphabet and "O" is the 15th, together this makes 815. "HO" is also the chemical element Holmium. Holmium has been used to create the strongest artificially-generated magnetic fields.
Behind Hurley as he’s freaking out over Abaddon there’s a small sculpture of the letters ‘HO’ on a shelf.

Interesting theory on the HO thing, well sorry to call your statement a theory, because it has been proven and thus is no longer a theory. Good job dude, that one took some smarts.
If it means anything to u ur up a few spots in my book LOL.

No one has talked about the guy that visited Hurley in the hospital and the fact that when he left he looked as though he turned into the black smoke and slipped out the door. Go back and look.

well - i reckon we come up with all the crazy theories and they come on the forums and see what fab ideas we have and steal them for the show :P
so in actual fact we are all writing lost as we go along....

I've been waiting to see if anybody posted anything about this. You are very correct. When Hurley starts freaking out yelling for the nurse, he looks back at the door and all we see is a dark shadow (or smoke?) leaving out of the door. I think this should be a main topic for a thread because it would be interesting to see what others think about this.

WOW!! That is Reallyobservant, i would never have thought of them linking together, but now its written down i see what you mean! but still i do not think that the lost island is " christmas island" thats my oppinion, But i do believe that JJ.Abahrams COULD Have Linked those together on purpose just to try and either See if anyone notice's them, OR to throw us off track/confuse us.
Then again, it is lost, anything is possible, so i dont know :)

Maybe smokey followed them to LA. I got it, Smokey transformed himself into the Lawyer. Thats why he is black!!!
Let me ask you this, if Smokey knows all about what they do on the island, why follow the Oceanic 6 off of the island and pump Hurley for questions about them?

I am intrigued by the idea of the HO's. However, having a hard time swallowing christmas island, or north pole (reference from another thread/blog). they were flying from Austrilia to LA, so how could they have ended up at the North Pole.
Not trying to blow holes in the HO's because I think there is a relevance, but I don't think its with Santa or tiny men making toys.

It's a snack cake. It has 2 layers of chocolate cake, betwixt which is a cream layer. Covering the outside is hardened chocolate. They were popular when I was a kid (the 80's)!

They are actually not in the South Pacific, they are in the Indian Ocean. Christmas Island is also there between Jakarta Indonesia and Perth Australia. Sam Thomas found 815 completely intact in the Sunda Trench which is also in the Indian Ocean, which is the trench off Bali that Naomi and Locke's dad were talking about. Christmas Island is in the vicinity of the crash site.

The Territory of Christmas Island is a small territory of Australia located in the Indian Ocean, 2600 kilometres (1600 mi) northwest of Perth in Western Australia and 500 kilometres (300 mi) south of Jakarta, Indonesia.
It maintains about 1,600 residents who live in a number of "settlement areas" on the northern tip of the island: Flying Fish Cove (also known as Kampong), Settlement, Silver City, Poon Saan and Drumsite.

Listen up- I really don't think he was pumping him for info, I think he was trying to get him to go back to the Island. He said do you want a room with an ocean view? That's not pumping him for info that is trying to get him to understand who or what he is . He wants him to go back, just like Charlie does.

Hey i just thought of a Christmass theam on the island. Jacob is making a list and checking it twice. he's gonna find out who's naughty or nice. lol I like doing this. it's fun to find your own theams in LOST.
Funny as that seems. Isn't it true. That's exactly how he acts or it's how Ben portrays him to be like.

yes, i've been more and more bothered by the polar bears as time goes on (obviously), but with this new second episode I am more than ever. They keep showing up in weird places. But you can take an animal anywhere to study it I guess, the question is why. The polarity thing? I don't know, that seems too obvious. It will probably end up being something no one can even fathom yet considering this show. I am more bothered by the fact that Locke finds a toy truck in the polar bear lair. Whats up with that?? And what is with the whole "light not scattering properly" thing?? That is way weird. Are they going to say that is because of the electromagnatism too?
Christmas Island piqued my interest as well. I mean, they wouldnt have mentioned it if it was irrelevent. At first I thought it might be the Lost island with some kind of implication that some kind of messiah was meant to be born there. But its seems like Christmas Island is an actual inhabited place so no go. Only thing about it that seems intriguing is that since it was uninhabited until the late 19th century, all the plants and animals were allowed to evolve in total isolation and there are tons of unique species there.

Did anyone notice the chalkboard in back of Hurley at the sanitarium? The harmless doodles left behind were of a sailboat and a large fierce-looking dog. There were other drawings, but couldn't make them out. Someone posted "spoilers" and one said 'you never know when you may accidently leave behind a veiled symbol of where you've been." Maybe it's nothin'.

Yeah, the HO HO HO thing looks too obvious. I found two Christmas Islands on the web. One half way between LAX and Sydney. The other in the Sundra Strait in the Indian ocean. I think there might be a third.
Here is an interesting link for anyone that wants to bang there head against the wall a little more trying to make a connection.
