Ok, so first off what an great episode. K, so my first question has to be, why is Bernard suddenly trying to get off the island and with Jack's camp? I thought he promised his wife Rose he would stay with her on the Island because they knew she would be getting healthy there...? My next question is, does anyone remember if there were smoke detectors present in Mile's first episode in season 4 when he found the drugs at the womens home? Also, people Swayer is still on the island, Kate said she was "doing something on his behalf that she promised him". Whose dead and whose not? Its too hard to tell at this point. I think people who are "dead" on the island (ex. karl, rousso, alex) may be in heaven or hell but the people still walking around on the island may also be dead but just in a sort of purgatory... that would explain why Mikhail was so hard to kill.

1. Claire is separated from Aaron, which explains why he isn't with her in the flash forwards.
2. Miles can see Christian's ghost, but then again, he's sorta psychic.
3. Jack doesn't have an appendectomy scar on his abdomen at the start of the episode--the camera focused on his belly in a way that went beyond showing gratuitous skin.
4. Jack looked at an X-ray that showed a tumor in the "L4" region, the same place that Ben had a tumor.
5. Sawyer has Aaron after Claire disappears on the island, and we can assume that he hands Aaron over to Kate later.
6. Jack proposes to Kate. Wasn't Kate wearing a wedding ring in the first(?) flash forward, when she's talking to a drunk Jack outside the airport fence?
7. Regarding Aaron, Jack told Kate, "You're not even related." So Jack knows Aaron is his nephew?
8. "You're not supposed to raise him." Well, the psychic told Claire in season one that no one but her should raise her baby.


Once I saw the ring and tied it together with Jack and Kate, I realized...duh...that must have been the ring from their wedding, and when Kate said something to Jack about leaving the airport and going back home to "him" she meant Aaron. So we've got Jack and Kate eventually getting married off the island and raising Aaron. Jack goes to the funeral of someone and I assume that it's of someone from the island whom Kate doesn't care for (and neither does Jack very much if I recall that funeral scene). I originally guessed that funeral to be for Michael. But with Jack looking at Ben-like tumor X-rays, I think the funeral might have been for Ben. Does anyone else agree?

The flash forwards seem to be gearing us up for a return to the island during the time after the flash forwards we're now seeing--Ben and Widmore are racing to re-find it. Certain people are trapped (forever it seems) on the island. Claire may still be alive on the island, missing her baby. Jack becomes an alcoholic desperate to get back to the island. Could his anxiety be due to the fact that he left his sister behind on the island and is raising his sister's kid with Kate? Could that have been Ben's funeral?

I get the feeling that the last season of the show is going to be a Ben v. Widmore war along with the story of the remaining survivors trying to get off of the island.

Please tell me if I'm way off, missed something, or whatever.

It was one of the best episodes I've seen in a long time!
