Didn't your heart just break for Hurley? I can't wait to rewatch it. I just love Hurley's character. I think Hurley is a key to a lot of things.

Not one person has anything to say about Hurley? He was crying!!!!! I think Charlie has talked to him about the Island and told him what is going on that is why he knows. Jack was concerned what Hurley said. He was waiting in his car probably waiting to see if Charlie came.

do you suppose that Hurley would go back to the island if he could now. He refused before but now he seems to know the situation better. I think he is the key to alot of the story also. I have posted before that I think the whole show is really just Hurley having a bad dream while he is sleeping on flight 815 and non of this has actually happened. Its all just a bad dream. LOL

Hurley is obviously thinking he is insane because he is the only one to be able to see Jacob. That may be why he will only acknowledge Jack coming to see him in the FF.

My roomy believes the same thing. If it's true I will hunt down TPTB and kill them.

I definitely think that this show revolves around Hurley. I have know idea how yet, but I think that he is a main factor to what is happening. There is just way to much stuff that is connected to Hurley to just be a coincidence.

I agree he definitely plays a much bigger role in all this than we have been led to believe. I'm kinda starting to believe that about Claire too she has a much bigger purpose.

I think Hurley is a sweet guy who does not have a mean bone in his body but will do what he has to do to help his friends. He has been terribly sad
before he got to the island and even seemed at least marginally so when on the island. He's probably taking those anti-depression drugs and even being in the mental shelter has not kept him as safe as he thought it would. What else Charlie's visits are doing to Hurley depends on what Charlie is saying to him. I don't think our Charlie would want to guilt trip Hurley into a bigger breakdown, do you?

Maybe they are all dead or will be dead by a certain time in the future. Hurley is in a very deep dark stupor and I can't tell if this is happening before the visit to Sun or afterwards. He really seemed to be in a much better place mood wise when he was with Sun.

I still think that their survival of a huge plane crash where they all should have died will eventually have something to do with how this all ends.

I'm pretty sure Hurley ends up in the hospital after meeting up with Sun. I think Sun is like 3 months along so that's only 6 months into the future and Aaron looks to be about 2 or so when Jack goes to visit Hurley just this past episode. At first I thought Charlie's visits were helping Hurley somehow keep it together keeping him from totally losing it but I think at some point Hurley said he was doing fine and then all of a sudden out of the blue he see's Charlie. Seems to be that Charlie is the reason he lost it. Maybe who ever comes to visit Jack is the reason he starts falling apart.

Heavensprincess, Thanks for that! I notice those pop-up visits create a lot of anxiety way beyond just what the visitor says or does. So much is hanging on what happened before they left the island-or it seems that way. It is definitely sad to see how much some people have deteriorated off the island.

Makes you wonder what the complete reason is for why the island would want them back. If that's the only place where they can truly be happy, then I would bet that each and every person would be eager and ready to defend the island in any way possible. The island seems to just be protecting it's own interests and each and every person is just a pawn to be used as is necessary to keep the balance.

There was a theory floating around a while back that Hurley actually owned the island and was the puppet master pulling the strings. Not sure how that theory holds up now that Hurley is nutso though.

Jack was wainting to see if Charly was wainting for him at the (table or bench) were Hurley seen him I think. And Jack told Hurley to take his meds so he would keep his mouth shut. I think Jack wants peaple to think Hurley is crazy when in fact he is the most sain one of them all,

Probably why Locke is insisting on dragging Hurley along to find the cabin.

Locke pushed for it due to Ben...so Ben obviously knows about Hurley's new connection to Jacob. Of all people to see the cabin though, why Hurley...?

I figured once Hurley left the island, he would start to lose his mind because he used the numbers. While Hurley was on the island, his mind was fine. Another case of the island 'healing' the sick.

I dont think Hurley is crazy I think he wants to be because he doesnt want to face the truth. He originally was put back into the asylum after he was running from Charlie, which may or may not be a crazy thing. but if charlie really is talking to him then he isnt crazy at all.

LostFreak21

I think you are right saying he isn't crazy. He probably knows the truth about things. He keeps himself in the hospital to keep himself safe. Maybe that hospital is run by some one who is connected to the island and Charlie has told him that. A lot of people have been in that hospital and on the island. Maybe they are all guinnie(sp) pigs for the island.

i really do not think that hurley is really crazy...i think that all his life he has been told crap like that then he is starting to believe it....as far as it being a dream-i thought the writers said it would not end like that-i do not have confirmation-but that is what i was told on here before....i do agree that hurley plays a significate role-more than we ever thought before-with the fact of he is needed for jacob.....
