View Full Version : A Couple In Los Angeles

I was thinking back to when Claire went to see the self proclaimed psychic Richard Malkin and he told her that her baby would be safe if she gave him to a couple in Los Angeles who were "good people". That's why she ended up on Flight 815 in the first place right?? Is it a coincidence that Jack and Kate are a couple ("good people") in Los Angeles? Maybe Malkin really is a psychic and not a fraud as he told Mr. Eko, also, what is the relation to the current theme of Lost re. the story of his daughter who was resurrected after drowning?
I apologize if this has already been discussed, but I don't remember any threads about this thus far :)

Oh I like that a lot!!! I think that maybe half of the couple is right though: Kate. It's clear that Jack is not to be involved in raising Aaron as Hurley so eerily spelled out to us all. Maybe it's in fact Sawyer who is to be the other half???

I think he is, but he is fundamentally flawed.....he seems good in theory but eventually causes his own demise and breaks down. The one thing he's wanted the most which is to get off the island, is the one thing that seems to have put him in self-destruct mode in the FFs.

its probably a good thing you cant have babies on the island or it would be overpopulated the way everyone gets around on this island. I mean everyone is dating everyone at some point here.

Sorry but the physic said the baby was DANGEROUS unless raised by claire, the father was unimportant, it was her goodness that the baby would need. The couple in LA was just a rouse to get her on THAT flight so she would be alone with her baby and couldn't give it up.

Mia, that was just what I was about to say. I do think that there weren't any prospective parents and that putting her on a plane destined to crash was the only way the psychic was to assure Claire would keep her baby.
Also, I get to wondering about something here... haven't all the spirits of the departed thus far been delivering warnings rather than threats? Since Charlie is warning that Jack must not raise Aaron and Charlie knew Jack would soon be visited (by Christian, another spirit), wouldn't it be rather contradictory for Christian to separate Claire from her baby??
Well, whatever/whoever did that, it looks like they mean Aaron no harm, the way they cradled him in the leaf Anne Geddes style (babies in the flowers artist).
And, I've been wondering if maybe Aaron is to grow up to save the world before that dreaded predicted day (the numbers?) and if Claire isn't there, possibly something happens to him and kills him before he fulfills his destiny.
(sort of like Sarah Conner/John Conner Terminator theme...)
Am I way out there??
