The writers of Lost kind of hinted that Jack has made the Island mad and that is why he got sick. Who pointed that out on Thur. episode? Was it Rose or Bernard?

I don't recall hearing that the writers said that. It was mentioned here on the forums, though. And Rose mentioned the island healing thing.

EDIT: I just watched the Jimmy Kimmell interview of Damon and Carlton. They did actually hint it.

Rose mentioned the fact that he got sick while others healed - I thought it was really significant to the episode - the season is going at such a fast pace, they wouldn't have him get sick and have Rose point out that he's getting sick rather than healing for no reason. I wonder why it is?

Is it because he hasn't learned from his mistakes - that whatever relationship he's having with Kate he's gonna ruin the same way he did his first marriage?

Or is it cos he's trying to leave the island - Hurley won't take his meds when he's back in the mental institution - will the rest of the Oceanic 6 get sick or something? Why would Jack be getting sick? I can't make it out. And why does Christian Shepard meet practically all the Losties? He's not exactly a man of wisdom or faith like Locke - if he was like Locke you'd imagine he's seen a lot of the Losties for guidance or whatever, but it's strange.

i think the Island was trying to give Jack the ol wink wink nudge nudge that he shouldnt be trying to leave. the Island must really think Jack is either stupid or blind because out of all the characters (maybe Kate included) it seems like hes the only one who doesnt see the Island for what it is. i think its him being the whole "man or science" that wont allow him to see all the good the Island can do for people because to him everything is just so out there and unbelievable...i think the Island is just saying "alright im done trying...so now ill just rupture your appendix!)

Hopefully the island will do something to Kate to make her realise she and Sawyer understand each other much better than she and Jack!

now by "understand" you mean "knock boots" right turnip queen...? i dont know! after seeing jack lift kate off her feet and run into the bedroom with her legs wrapped around his waist i would say that doctor knows a thing or two about a womens anatomy!

Remember very few things on lost are coincidence so I'm sure it will be significant that so many have met Christian Shepard
