wonder who it belongs to as we know that white tennis shoes seem to have their own little storyline running throughout lol!

we do see christian wearing those white shoes, but we also see john laying on the beach, shoeless, after the crash. I personally think those shoes were worn by john and flew off during the crash. christian/jacob/the island/etc already knew of what would happen in the past/future regarding jack putting his dads shoes on lockes body in attempts to recreate the events of 815.

my point exactly ! lol where were johns shoes after the crash ? Why did ellie tell jack he had to give john something that belonged to chritian ? it just seems like a coincidence that john is shoeless after the crash, but then again jack did admit to putting those white sneakers on christian before the flight (815). im obviously confused lol but at least its about lost so that makes me feel better lol either way this mini theory is full of holes and it was just my $0.02

If a person is paralyzed they would put shoes on them to protect their feet from banging into things where they wouldnt feel it necessarily but cause more injury and can result in infection, loss of toes foot etc.

My step-son's girlfriend is confined to wheelchair for life. She always wears shoes. The good thing about it is that they last a very long time.:)

shoes will also help prevent contractures (shortening) of the muscles and help prevent the feet from turning unnaturally, contorting them to a severe degree as to render the person unable to stand. In some cases, the feet actually eventually turn completely around backwards. Standing is important for human function, digestive, mobillity, relief of pressure spots, etc, and can be achieved well with an assistive device. But this is hard to do if "foot flat" on a surface cannot be achieved.

Before that I always thought the shoe represented "over, under, bunny ear, bunny ear". Which never really made much sense to me. Maybe it's a reference to the Looking Glass, You go "over" the water, then "under" the water, then you get your "bunny ear, bunny ear."

Locke's shoes did fly of during the crash but were right next to him. This is when he finds out that he can move his legs. He tries to put back on his shoes and his leg moves. But his shoes are right next to him. The tennis shoe can only be Christiens. The question is why so far from the coffin that was in the caves.
