I have never posted here before but I have come by from time to time to see what others were thinking about the show. Now for my first, and most likely last, post.

First off I loved this show from day one. No doubt the best show on TV in a long long time, IMO, I loved everything about it. I have watched every episode, without a miss, until last week when I turned it off half way through. :(

Enough is enough.... How many unanswered questions, plot turns, double twists, coincidences, manipulations, backstabbings are we expected to put up with. I have talked to many of my friends and a large percentage are feeling the same way. The story was/is good but it now feels to me that the network and show producers are milking this for all they can get. I say poke it with a fork it's done. Wrap it up while it still has some life left and let it go out on a high note. Don't let it drag out for 4-5 more seasons and end as a joke. :(

I can see where some people have been getting frustrated with this show at times (myself included). But hey guys, it's LOST! No show has ever been this great. It is the king of all TV shows, imo.
I was bummed with last week's episode (although I was happy to see my two favorte Shephards:)) But still, there was too much Jate crapolla, imo. But hey, that's just me! Love the show!

Lost is a fantastic show that just keeps getting better and better. But it's not for everyone. There will always be a relatively small minority who enjoy the mystery, drama and esoteric nature of the show, compared to the masses who I'm sure turn off in droves when they discover that the show actually requires a bit of thought.

Alot of questions are slowly getting answered. Claires baby started in season one, and it looks like it's starting to come to the forefront. How and why those specific people are on the island seems like it might be getting answsered too. I feel you though on too many twist. I just started watching it 6 months ago and watched all the seasons at once. Having to wait week after week for no answers sucks.

Great summary of all our LOST emotions! You're lucky your boyfriend watches it with you. My husband thinks its stupid and that I am obsessed (the latter probably true). Anyway, I hope it never ends!

I don't think the show has jumped the shark, I think the shark is slowly chewing it up as it swims by.

You just need to have a bit of faith. Lost wouldn't be the same if it were as straightfoward as any other show or story. They've already answered a lot of things:

-How Locke ended up in his wheelchair.
-Who killed Sawyer's parents.
-Who the drug smuggler's plane belongs to.
-What the Others had wanted with the Losties.
-Who the Others even were.
-What happened to Dharma.
-Why there are polar bears on the island.
-Why 815 crashed.
-etc.

Of course they have questions left unanswered, but they have two whole seasons left to explain them, and no filler. As for the so-called new twists and turns, they were probably made specifically to answer the questions we still have, just like Dan, Miles, and Charlotte.

If its too much for you honey, watch something that doesn't require so much thought...like a Elmos World or something. Let those of us, who don't watch the television simply for the flashing colors enjoy are show!

o.k. so your first post here is a derogatory one . but i will be a voice of reason , now #1 i too did not like the way that they have begun to tell their story but after i got mad i also said i would reserve judgement and give our writers a chance to tell their whole story . also to back them up more i read way too much and pretty much knew what was going to happen in those first two episodes with all the spoilers and sneak peeks they let out you had heard and seen it all . but it was ultimately my fault for reading and watching them . on the other hand if they would put the new season out in a timely fashion i probably would not have seen this stuff .#2 as for milking the show they are definately not doing that which is probably what you actually would want them to do , that is if you like stories it was being told just like a book would tell a story . introduction of charachters and backstory . now that THEY HAVE AN END DATE they cant afford to milk it out anymore so they have kicked it into warp speed and are answering questions and getting to the point of the story . again PLEASE just wait it out reserve judgement and see where your favorite show in the land takes you . YOU AND ALL YOUR FRIENDS KNOW ITS THE BEST so just be patient you only have to wait for about 32 more episodes . MAN I WISH THERE WERE MORE . i think it is somewhat all of our faults that they have a end date i mean we want answers and now that they have their end date they can plot out when to answer said questions . You have to keep watching. I know it can be frustrating sometimes, but trust me, it will be worth it. Lost is like a giant puzzle, and all of the pieces are starting to fall into place. Plus, they wont drag it out for 4 or 5 more seasons. They are going to end it after next season. Hang in there.

I think it refers to when something is done (ready to eat) the first thing you do is poke it with a fork (not to see if it is done but once you know it is done).

I think its because that's what they always did with things that were done, in the old days. If they finished building a bridge, they'd poke it with a fork. If somebody was completely exhausted and needed to sit down after doing hours of hard labour, someone else would poke them with a fork. Somewhere along the line the tradition stopped being used so much, but the saying continues...

I have never posted here before but I have come by from time to time to see what others were thinking about the show. Now for my first, and most likely last, post.

First off I loved this show from day one. No doubt the best show on TV in a long long time, IMO, I loved everything about it. I have watched every episode, without a miss, until last week when I turned it off half way through. :(

Enough is enough.... How many unanswered questions, plot turns, double twists, coincidences, manipulations, backstabbings are we expected to put up with. I have talked to many of my friends and a large percentage are feeling the same way. The story was/is good but it now feels to me that the network and show producers are milking this for all they can get. I say poke it with a fork it's done. Wrap it up while it still has some life left and let it go out on a high note. Don't let it drag out for 4-5 more seasons and end as a joke. :(


I'll bet you'll still be watching and I have to hope and do feel that they will satisfy us all in the end.

Take a juice jug and fill it with water. Cut off the bottom of a big pop bottle and hook a bowl up to the top that you'll be able to remove. Put the bottle in the juice jug with enough water that it comes up below the bowl. Light the bowl and pull the bottle up (the suction will fill the bottle with smoke), then take the bowl off and drop down with it. The water pushes all the smoke in, and you barely have to inhale.

We (so I've heard) call it a "hydro bong."
