View Full Version : Desmond??

I want to know what is going to happen to Desmond. Until know no flash forward mentions him.
After the last episode he didn't go with Sayid but stayed on board of the vessel.
Will the crew simply kill him? I mean, he is important in the show. It was Desmond that had flashes about the under water station that had to be disabled to get in contact with the vessel. He has a link to Widmore as he had a relationship with his daughter.
In the flash forwards we see that Ben visits Widmore and tell him that he will kill Penny. In this case Desmond would have an important role to play.
I mean, Ben never kills someone himself. He let others kill in his place. So he will use Sayid to kill Penny....but....the reason why sayid works for Ben is because he lost the love of his life Nadia. He searched for her many years and now she got killed. It is his revenge.
But if Sayid would have to kill Penny....it means that he has to kill the love of his friend Desmond ....knowing that Desmond was struggling for years to find Penny back....must have a influence on Sayid to stop killing or not???
He knows what it is like to lose his lover, so would he do that to Desmond...knowing that it is thanks to Desmond that he could return to Nadia...even when it didn't take long?
Or did Widmore kill Nadia to get Ben in touch with Sayid...in order to find Ben?

I think Ben will kill Penny himself. He's out for revenge he will want the satisfaction all for himself. Even if Ben asks Sayid to kill Penny Sayid would never do it. No matter how angry Sayid is he would never do that to Desmond.

I think all sign's are pointing to Desmonds death, for one, we've hardly seen his character the past few episodes, also, he just happens to be in the most dangerous position right now.

I still say ben will bring penny to the island. what would be worse losing a child through death or losing a child and knowing shes alive but not able to get to her.

Who's flash forwards have we not seen so far? Claire, Sawyer ( but we know he chose to stay,no implication from Jack or Kate that his fate was death), Desmond, Michael, ____ .

I don't think just because we haven't seen Desmond in the past few episodes means he is doomed. Before "Something Nick Back Home" we hardly saw Jack, and compare that to how much screen time he had in season 1-3. I agree that he is in a very dangerous position right now, but if something happens to Keamy and his crew when they go back to the Island he may be in less danger. I'd like to think Penny finds him and gets him home and they go on to lead a nice peaceful life, but thats not Lost's style is it?

We haven't seen anything from Julliet either. I think her death is all but certain. I will be very upset if they kill both Michael and Desmond off the show.

Somehow the "kill Penny" threat will relate to the "alternate" Penny seen the Penny/Desmond photo. For that matter, which one is the real Penny?

i dont think the show is done with desmond yet. he has too many connections and has been vital to certain storylines.
and he is such a well liked character - they would be foolish to get rid of him.

I wouldn't count on Des' death any time soon. If he is to die soem time in the show I belive it will be twards the end. Like maybe he takes the killing blow for Penn. I think Des is kinda like a Key so to speak. He seems to have these time altering situations happen to him for some reason. first the vissions, then he travles into th epast once more threw body and mind. He's always found something to keep him stable in time. If he looses Penn then he would surly perish from time all togetaher since she is the one that keeps him balanced his Constant. SO either die and watch Penn die at Ben's hands if he decided to go threw with it or die saving her and at least die knowing she is ok. Either way it would be like Mrs. Hawkens said When it's your time you die. You can change all you want. But when your day comes you die. He learned that from Charlie's senario. But to me. I think Ben will have a change of heart twards his reveangful feelings twards Penn due to the actions of Widmore.

I think that the Economist will turn out to be Penny and yes, Sayid will kill her without knowing who she is.
