When Miles was in that boys room and he said "where is it" (or something like that) was he talking about the polar bear?? Or the $?? I say this because Charlotte gives that dude a wad of $ so he will let her see the bones...is it the same wad of $ that Miles got from the room?? Was he REALLY asking where something else was?? OMG...this show drives me CRAZY!!!!! LOL I could be soooo off :confused:

Yea, what was up with all that???? That was just creepy! Not quite sure what he was after...I guess the money, but he found something else in there too. And it seemed to have mattered that the spirit he was communicating with had been murdered. :confused:

Yeah he put the drugs back.Maybe he knew about the money somehow and he took that job to finace the trip to the desert?Why would they need that money if they have a boat and chopper etc and obviously have money?Maybe it was before they got backing from who ever the black guy is...*shrug*

I'm thinking that the woman's grandson was involved in a drug ring and didn't pay his dealer in time, so was gunned down, but the dealer still wanted his money, so he hired Miles to find out where he hid the money. Just a wild guess.

I bet the grandson was killed because he stole drugs and a wad of money. If he owed drug lords money why didn't he just pay them that wad. That atleast would have quienced their thirst for payment. They probly would have beat him half to death and then tell him that they expect the rest tomorrow or within the week. Instead of killing him. Or! He was a dealer him self and was being hunt down for a load of doh he made off a deal. Most likely a girl was involved. That would be someone able to get close to him to know he made teh deal. So when she tryed to get it from him. Ovcourse he was a step ahead and hid it and she killed him instead. Either way she was going to kill him. Might as well make it worth your time. Pluss she already let him in on her plan. So bye bye baby.

i think the point of that whole scene was to show that guy didnt really like his job, he was just ripping people off even though he had a true "sixth sense," if you will. the way he jacked up the price on the greiving mother and nabbed the dead kids cash. but the writers wanted to show you he had a conscience because he gave her back $100, returning to the original price.

imo, that scene was just for background on the character.

Somewhere else in the forums someone mentioned the fact that maybe the new people's stories we see off the island may actually be fast forwards (namely Charolette in the desert and the polar bear skeleton). Which was funny because when I first saw the grandma's house and everything I wondered if it was walt... perhaps even more into the future and he is even older. AND he is living with his grandma because his dad, Micheal, is actually dead and he was infact in the coffin at the end of season 3 and the reason only Jack showed up was because Walt had gotten tied up with the wrong kind of people (like drug dealers or something).

I haven't gone back to watch the episode yet so maybe I missed something. Part of me thinks its not Walt, but a small part would find it kind of interesting. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can never look deep enough into this show, which is why its so great.

In the airport Mike was talking to Walt's grandma aboua taking him. That and race are the only two reasons to even consider it. Unless a more observant viewer spotted a clue in the room that would refer to walt...or one of the pics on the wall maybe.

Very astute conclusion :) Miles knew about the money, that's why he was there, to get it. Why... well I think you are right about the why.

If you remember the color of the heroine? Charlie, had, I think it the exact same color (dirty yellow). So I would have to say he was involved with heroine dealing.

This very well could have been Walt grandma I thought about it the way they kept showing the pictures on the wall Like they wanted you to see who was in them. And it would make sense as to it being a flash foward maybe Miles is sad about something that happened while he was on the island. I just assumed they were flash back not flashfowards.

Miles knew cuz grandson(ghost) told him,Miles could see circumstances around how kid died ,just like he did with Naomi ,and wanted $ for himself .I think it was to show us a little about his charactor.

I'm pretty sure that it was not Walt that was murdered. I watched the episode again and it doesn't look like him, nor is he credited. I also looked on IMDB and the grandma's name is "Mrs. Gardner" which obviously has nothing to do with Michael Dawson or Walt's mother whose last name was Lloyd. Too bad, would have been an interesting twist. Anyway, so it seems it was strictly for character backround for Miles.

Miles is a ghost medium he can talk to ghosts. He prolly didnt even know bout the money till he went upstaires and turned on that ghostbuster thingamagig. I think that wierd machine mite kill ghosts or something and he told the ghost "look I wanna tell ur grandma ur gone" or somethin like that. I dont think we could here what the ghost was sayin but I think he told Miles if u leave me alone and tell my gma im gone ill give u my hiddin money. Miles then says "so where is it then". Then the dresser moves and he gets the money then keeps it all. thats my theory.

It has nothing to do with Ecko or Walt or Eckos bro. Just because hes black hes gatta have somethin to do with those characters. It was a flashback to show us Miles true nature and what he does. The whole scene was about Miles, no one else.
