Now that we know that the fake atty who visited Hurley is directly connected to the 4 off the freighter....maybe when he asked Hurley "Are they still alive?" he meant the guys he had sent over there to get Ben!?!?!?!

Maybe, but either way, that guy can't be trusted. He had a really scary look on his face when he was asking Hurley about that. I think Hurley was going to open his mouth, and tell him, but maybe he remembered what happened on the island when he told Charlotte how many survivors there were and knew what would happen if he opened his mouth.
