The mother of Claire

Is she really alive and kicking again?
Or do Jack and Kate see her ghost at the church?
For as far as I understood, Claire's mother got into a coma and doctors said she would never wake up again. Claire did decide to keep her alive.
Christian went to Australia to talk to Claire and her aunt, concerning this situation.

So if Claire would have followed Christian his advice....her mother would be dead now.
She must know about the fact that Christian talked about that. So why is she going to the funeral of man would let her die if he was the one to decide?

Or is she dead and is this once more a ghost we see?

I forgot all about Aunt Lindsay, but you're right. I also think Aunt Lindsay may have had an affair with Christian Shephard and that may be why she holds so much animosity towards Claire. Something definitely hinky going on there.

Strange that you are saying that the person we see is the Aunt Lindsay.
To be hones I can't remember the face of aunt Lindsay.

But the lady speaking to John declares that her daughter was on the plane as well. And that she knows that Christian came to Australia because of her situation.
So Jack asks her if she saw him alive there....and she says no....as she was in hospital in a coma.

Now if the woman is aunt Lindsay and not the mother of Claire herself than it means that aunt Lindsay is lying to Jack what her identity concerns and that the mother of Claire is maybe still in a coma or maybe already dead.

Anyway why would auntie pretend to be the mother of Claire. The aunt of Claire was in fact angry with Claire...so why would she now pretend that she misses her?

I'm sorry, Panda. I was replying to silverana's post which stated that it seemed like the same lady who was Claire's aunt. I truly don't know if it really was Claire's mother or her aunt who was at the funeral because, like you stated, Claire's mom had been in a coma. I had just forgotten all about Aunt Lindsay until silverana posted about her.

The reason why I think Aunt Lindsay has animosity towards Claire, and she does, is because maybe she had an affair with Christian Shepard also, but it was her sister, Claire's mom, who had his baby, not her. Maybe Christian Shepard dumped Aunt Lindsay for Claire's mom or something.
