I was rewatching Season 3 and in one of the episodes when Desmond, Hurley, Jin and Charlie find Naomi after she crashes onto the island, Mikhail shows up and Desmond gets him to help her in exchange for letting him go even though Charlie, I think tells him he's an Other. After Mikhail pulls the branch out of Naomi's side, she says something, in Porteguese I think, and Mikhail tells the others that she said thank you for saving my life or something similar. How do we know that she really said that? Mikhail is an Other and is just as untrustworthy and why should be believe that that is what Naomi really said?

Naomi stated that she was not alone.
P.S. I rewatched that episode last week and I think that Naomi is the sexiest women on Lost. (wrong thread but who cares):o

He knows better than to give away the truth: Naomi uttered the words "eu não estou só" meaning "I am not alone" in Portuguese. And as we all know, she definitely is not alone!
Mikhail is smarter than we think: he already proved himself to be a polyglot, and let's not forget that he was in charge of sophisticated communications equipment to which access was limited by a chess game programmed by 3 grandmasters. It's not a coincidence, seeing how he came from Russia, known for its chess talent. Telling Locke that he "hasn't been able to beat the game in ten years" is only him playing stupid while trying to hide his true significance.
