my personal opinion and or theory is this... ben needs to move the island, this, we all know. before he left hurley and locke he said that moving the island had consequences and repercussion's if done... so, i think that the reason ben ended up in the desert was because ben found the way to move the island, but im very sure that ben did not move the island just in location but also in time... ben ending up in the desert was a repercussion of ben moving the island, and now the island no longer needed ben. then he found him self in witmore's room he said that you will never find the island, Wit then says "i found it once, ill find it again"... somthing along those lines... since ben moved the island forward in time and locations the island trasported ben in time and location as well...
feedback.....

Well, My..., you have thought this out nicely. I agree on some definite possibilities, but I'd hate it if the island no longer needed Ben.
Also, I kind of doubt they physically moved the island at all, just moved it to another time or dimension. That would make more sense to me.
anyone else??
