Daniel Faraday...Michael Faraday??

Anyone know who michael faraday is? It seems a little ironic that a new character shares this name doesnt it?

Russell Faraday is an alias of Randall Flagg who is a character in some of Steven Kings novels (the stand, the dark tower series) he is evil but not the devil and not human, he appears ageless capable of magic, can read and influence peoples minds. dont know if this is anything but a stevev king book was seen in an earlier series. Michael Faraday was the physicst who discovered ELECTRO-MAGNETISM?????

Did anyone catch in the beginning when Faraday was crying about plane being discovered the woman in the background called him "Sam" but he later introduced himself as Daniel Faraday to Jack and Kate?

Dude, I thought I heard SAM too. But when he got off the chopper he said DAN! I think he is the dude from the 815 stuff, just hes the real actor. And he was crying because sonya was in the wreckage. Or maybe she is still on the island somewhere and he wants to find her. I think Dans a good guy though, it'll turn out good for him.

She did call him sam Maybe he doesnt rember being sam thats why he said he didnt know why he was crying

The woman says Dan. Please go back, she says it 2 or 3 times. Listen carefully, she says Dan, not Sam. :)
