The water on the Island...

Has anyone else noticed they are always drinking the water? The show always make it a point to show them drinking those big bottles of water. I don't think I have ever seen Ben drink from the bottles. Hmmmmmm.

Interesting observation.

I thought they were just showing how well they were staying hydrated. But its only the survivors of 815 that drink out of those bottles, never seen an 'other' drink from one. Except Juliette, who isn't with the 'others' anymore (and is REALLY tan now!)

the found the bottles in the hatches right? they are using them because thats all they got.

Ben drank, when he had kate on the beach for breakfast, from a glass.

We haven't seen him drink from a bottle because isn't he their prisoner.

I wouldn't look to deep into this, I don't think its relevant. But good observation nonetheless.

Just a note. I think its more of a health reason. We never knew Ben to not be unnourished. The "Losties" had scarce food before the Dharma drop. I think I recall too, Jack always saying keep hydrated. Its natural to want to keep hydrated in the sun. As an athlete, it was always drilled into our head, when doing anything in the sun, keep hydrated.

I don't think this is too important to get theorizing on. But to each his/her own.

But I could be wrong too.

Yes drinking a lot, but what are they eating now? They must be starving, especially Hurley. I haven't seen anyone put food in their months for several episodes and no one seems to mention it as they continue trapsing around the jungle.

I think they put in the water bottles so that we don't complain in our blogs that they are never eating or staying hydrated haha. They're trying to cover all there bases I guess, but yah they need to eat more :)

This is an old thread - but I thought of it after last weeks episode when Ben accepted a bottle of water yet did not drink from it....Just an observation.

I've commented on the water before. I still find it wierd the way they physically hand the water bottles to each other. They sort of thrust them at each other like....it's wierd.

I have said this FOREVER! I just think it is really weird. Same bottles of water out of the river or what. How many shows do you see people intentially drinking water? What is in that water? Mind altering stuff?
