Ben's Daughter?

Rousso is Alex's mother and she corrects Ben in Se4ep1 when he refers to Alex has his daughter. So who is the Father? I say it's Richard because we know he's been there longer than Ben and how do we know that Rousso hasn't aged on the island also.

If I remember correctly, Danielle's husband died when they reached the island (or shortly thereafter) and she was already pregnant. PLEASE someone correct me if I am wrong.

I think you are remembering correctly. As an added note, I think that Danielle stated that she killed her husband along with the others from her crew after they got sick.

Alex was obviously too young to realize who her father was at the time, that is why Ben assumed the roll.

But why of all the kids, would Ben take Alex as his kid. I think this may have been addressed in another thread, but i forgot what was being said.

Well, she's special because at that time (long before 815), she was the only child born on the island (Danielle carried to term because she conceived off-island).

If Ben wanted a daughter, I see no other candidate. Except for that Karl kid - whose origins I don't totally understand. Anyways, it's not like there's a whole bunch of kids with the Others...they can't have kids.

In short, no I don't think Alex is special. Unless by chance Karl is also special (I need to go look up his origins).

Well, Lostpedia says that Karl's origins are "unknown". That's very suspicious to me. If he is around Alex's age (and I have every reason to believe that he is), where did he come from?

True, there isn't alot of kids. And, I agree, the most logical is because she had been the only one born on the island, that we know of before Aaron. Unless, like you said, there is something else to Karl. I can't imagine that he would be the kid of any of the "others" that survived the purge, because if so, why would they have treated him so horribley. Other than because Ben doesn't want alex pregnant. Where are his parents, unless he was not supposed to survive the purge?
