Just re-watched the Sri Lanka video and noticed something interesting about with the Dharma logo that is shown at the start. It is different to the Swan-like Dharma logo normally seen. It consists of a black circle (the Earth?) next to a smaller black circle (the Moon?) both on top of a large white circle (the Sun?). The interesting thing is the very small second white circle on top of the larger black circle. Could this be a symbol for the 'Island'? Is the island an Earth satelite? It would fit in well with the cover of the Mystery Tales #40 mag if it was.

The logo with the Swan is the logo for the Swan station only not
the Dharma Initiative. The Dharma logo is the usual octagonal shape
with Dharma written across the middle.
The logo you are talking about has been stated by the writers to be
non-canonical unfortunately

If by "non-canonical" they mean it's not the normally or publicly presented logo for the Dharma Inititiative, then yeah.......no **** . This is the only time I've seen it, and an image search on google just brings up the swan or the octagon logos. But, it is a genuine LOST production (is it not?), so does it mean anything, nevertheless? Watch the video, it's right at the start. It (the small white dot) starts off very dim but brightens significantly when the rest of the logo is introduced.

They mean it isn't part of the shows overall 'official' mythos.

Okay, so we can just ignore it then. Forget I (re)mentioned it.
Just hope they're not being deliberately ambigious by using that word (I got creamed for using it myself in a science thesis for that very reason :o). Does anyone have the source for thier statement?
