Ok so there is more than one darhma group, maybe one in Tunisia. One word got out of the coup on the island one the expriment was ended by the Hanso Corp. The remaining darma people never knew where the island was. They are the decendants and family members of those killed by Ben and the orginal inhabitants. They have been looking for the island for years. Searching for the 4,8,15,16,23,42 code but that was taken down by the french lady for her message. This is why they want BEN so bad, they know that he survived (from the pic) and have put together that he lead the coup that killed their fellow darma friends and possible family.

They hire the 4 "Freighties" we now have on the island to infultrate and find Ben.

Thoughts?

i was thinking something similar myself. i reckon there is somewhere in the desert with similar properties to the island and they had another dharma camp out that way too. either that or it was some kind of teleportation.

If Hanso knew about the purge and ended the experiements, they why did the food drops continue?

Yeah.. remember the healer that Rose went to? He was in Australia, BUT he made a point of saying it was the energy of the place that he used and it wasn't him. Also, that place wasn't right for her (and then the island was).

Not saying that the healer has anything at all to do with DHARMA, but the physical energy of places has come up for more places than just the island.

I think that there was another DHARMA station in Tunisia.. but then, where are the other remains? Unless it was so long ago, and they were underground or something.. how long does it take a body to totally decompse so only bones are left? It would have to be there quite a while ago... But then the collar is still there. I don't know what I think, I guess.. I'm just thinking out loud..

i am not a decomposition expert but i would say that in the blistering heat of the desert - that would surely speed the process up? and of course - little beasties and the likes would eat from the corpse aswell.

Was it a skeleton or a fossil?

I mean, it was an archeological dig.

Then again, a leather collar wouldn't have lasted that long.

it looked like a skeleton rather than a fossil. she was an athropologist so would deal with remains rather than fossils i think (again no expert so i may well be rambling!)

I would tend to agree with you.

But, FWIW, Lostpedia says about Charlotte, "Why was she looking for, and not surprised by, the fossilized polar bear with the DHARMA tag?"

I think she is already working for an entity that knows of Dhama that is interested in what Dharma was doing. My view :)

I agree. I think she clearly knows of Dharma already.

My point was more that lostpedia calls it a "fossilized skeleton."

yes that is very interesting how Charlotte goes straight to the fossil/skeleton and looks for the collar as if she knew it would be there and was aware of the experiment or origin of the polar bear.
