Daniel mentions how the light is weird on the island, that it doesn't scatter properly.

Any thoughts as to what the hell he's talking about?

I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing it's because he's a physicist and maybe the magnetism of the island is affecting the light waves and making them move in ways that we don't normally see.

Seriously, I think he is gifted, like ghost man. If he can see things in the electro magnetic spectrum of light that we can't normally see, then he is very special.

I also think that Daniel might be a little crazy, but he's probably extremely smart if he's a physicist. I think every member of their team was hand picked for a reason, hopefully we find out soon.

At first I was thinking Daniel either hit his head from that low altitude jump or he was packing some contraband in that steel suitcase. I never gave much thought to the possibility that he can see ultra-violent light. Hmm..

no this guy is called jeremy davies and the ET boy is henry thomas (or something like that).

not sure about the last name thing - it seemed like daniel wasnt even giving his correct name (unless he was spazzing out at that moment in time) so if they had fake names or at least fake surnames (as the woman called him dan when he was watching tv) what would it matter?

I saw on another site, that the last names of each of the four that just came to the island, are last names of famous physicists, and could be descendants of them.
